bhangraman1986 0
Looking through the past 4 - 5 years of players who have left the club - out of contract, sold, loans deals not made permanent etcWho would you bring back and what would be your starting line up including those left in our current squad? Former players should still be playing or just recently retired..if u get what I mean?
legalbeagle 3,734
I maybe should put on my tin hat, but I always liked Thomas Buffel, he seemed to have some class about him.
OneDavidCooper 2,505
I'd bring back Wilson, Arteta and Boyd.
Ricky_ 893
--------------McGregor-----------hutton----cuellar----bougherra---wallace--------ferguson----davis---------naismith--------------------lovenkrands---------miller-------jelavic--------lovenkrands is assuming hes at his peak, probably for us. Close oen with naismith/neil mccann if you want to go that far back. Left out charlie Adam because i thought he was very underrated when he played for us, but now hes well overated.probably forgetting a few though... but mcgregor, cuellar, bougherra, hutton, ferguson & jelavic no brainers for me, real quality players. legalbeagle 3,734
I can, but I'm in a minority. Did we not go through a season where Hutton was responsible for setting up almost every goal we scored in the CL? He had a lot to offer us, but ultimately his rashness in the tackle, and lack of defensive intelligence was always going to let him down. bhangraman1986 0
Buffel - after leaving rangers what has he achieved? did he take a step back cos I havent heard about himWilson - left us for liverpool and ended up going out on loan.. shoulda stuck around to get first team footballArteta - at everton he had some class but feel he has lost it amongst some other gd players at arsenalBoyd - leaving rangers was a mistake.. yes he wasnt a runner and didnt prove himself in europe/big games but with any other teams.. u giv him the ball in box and likely he would score.. unlike healy!hutton - at tottenham feel that there was too much competition but now doing well under alex mcleish at aston villa.. cuellar - scored a goal a couple weeks ago.. doing well wit alex at aston villa.. bougherra - big madjid.. solid at the back.. prob raking in the money in Qatarferguson - he had ups and down..he will be getting onlovenkrands - if u could keep him fit.. then why not.. good pacejelavic - he shouldnt have been allowed to leave without adequate cover miller - good worker and running.. mendes - will be getting onadam - for rangers he was a flop most of the time but when he was at blackpool we should have scouted him...Question 1: What you guys think of above?Question 2: what did u guys think in general about the following players (good and BADD things)- Aaron Niguez, Weiss, Beasley, Cousin, Darcheville, Hemdani, Burke, SEEEEBBBOOO, Velicka, Namouchi, Malcolm, Rae, McCormack, Clement, Svensson, Prso, Pierre Fan Fan, Sotiros Kyrgiakos,
legalbeagle 3,734
Question 2: what did u guys think in general about the following players (good and BADD things)- Aaron Niguez - not really, Weiss- out of our range, Beasley - seemed to have it all but not enough direction, Cousin- attitude questionable, Darcheville- apparently perfect - but didn't ever happen, Hemdani- water carrier, Burke- inconsistent, SEEEEBBBOOO- dear god, Velicka- mobility scooter, Namouchi- seemed to have something but not quite sure what, Malcolm- limited, Rae (Gavin) at his level now, McCormack- would have liked to have seen him given a run, Clement- neat but not strong enough, Svensson- could've been beaten in the air by a schoolgirl, Prso- One of our most complete strikers, would have loved to have him in the team when he was a couple of years younger, Pierre Fan Fan- again, looked like he should have had it, but just didn't work.
