Ayrshirebear73 27
Without really looking into it deeply, i'd imagine that our plight, in general, is a hell of a lot worse than Motherwell's was, don't think its anything that 'restructuring' is really going to sort in any meaningful way. I'm sure someone who can be arsed would be able to put this in a far more insightful mannerMy point was more that no restructuring has been done. So we are in exactly the same state as when Whyte took over. So without restructuring someone needs to invest a reported 10 million a season. So we are in same position with a Cva to pay. That's the bit not making sense to me.

That's the bit not making sense to me.Well we've cut two members of playing staff and convinced all the rest of them to take huge paycuts until the end of the season (and presumably when new owners come in) - restructuring isn't always best by simply culling the squad. Selling our assets at hugely reduced cost might have caused more damage in the long term than good and, certainly, releasing the likes of Davis, McGregor and Naisy wouldn't have helped all that much.Surely bringing new owners in is where said investment will come from, well that's the plan anyway, wether that comes to fruition is another question. Also, I would think that the shortfall over the next few seasons would be less since I would imagine we will further reduce our wage bill but do this while hopefully getting decent transfer fees for players too.I do see your point and I don't claim to know the ins and outs of administration, but I suppose every one is different and a simple mass cull of staff is only fruitful if you aren't losing any future transfer windfalls
