ray 105
We can expect an announcement that the Appellate tribunal has been abandoned, that should be sooner rather than later, several hacks are attempting to extract info from regan at this moment, apparently as it was supposed to be an independent tribunal the fear was they would impose the severest sanction that they could, expulsion. Seems regan realised that would be doing the spl clubs dirty work for them and has acted accordingly, Lord Carloway has had no notice of any future convening. sprotson11 147
As much as this is good news that we won't have our membership terminated, it still strikes me that Rangers will continue to be accused of all sorts regarding getting favoritism from the SFA.The SFA, SPL and SFL have already met to discuss a reconstruction that will allow Rangers into the 1st Division and save the face and money of the SPL clubs, this further development only adds fuel to the fire. This is not what the majority of Rangers fans want IMO, if we are to be punished we want it to be clear and above board, no dodgy deals for us. footygeek301 20
This was always going to happen, and I said as much numerous times. We are not members of the SFA therefore we cannot be punished. Plus there was no mechanism within SFA or SPL rules to allow punishments to be "transferred" in the event of a newco. Fact is the the tribunal doesn't have the power to lay a fingers on the new Rangers. Incidentally, the position is exactly the same with the EBT question. theiconicman 3,000
I dont want to join the fucking SFA the showers of shites that they are.Let's be without an FA and apply to join the 9th level of the English leagues. I'd rather work our way up that backwater than pay another penny into Scottish football.Bastards.
WillWard 6
Regan is under enough pressure at the moment from the Taigs without arbitrarily chopping the disciplinary process agreed by all the member clubs only last year. File under optimistic pish.Edit: What difference would this make to us now anyway? Any punishment the tribunal decides upon would be for the old company to serve. Since SFA membership is non-transferable we need to apply for a new membership anyway.
