Albertz 78 918
Hearts are under an SFA embargo that prevents them from registering players over the age of 21 until Saturday, February 1.The soonest they could register an 'overage' player would be Monday, February 3.The club is also looking to sign Rudi Skacel for a third time, with goalkeeping coach Alan Combe cancelling his player registration to free up a place and allow Hearts to apply for the 34-year-old Czech to play.Skacel has not played a competitive game since leaving Slavia Prague in May, but has been training with Hearts since the turn of the year.Any decision to allow Hearts to register a player whilst they are still in administration will be at the discretion of the SPFL board. The SPL have rejected Rangers attempt to sign Daniel Cousin.Despite going into administration on Tuesday the club announced the signing of Cousin on Monday on a reported wage of £7,500 per week.A transfer embargo is also applied to any team in administration with the SPL announcing tonight that they have blocked the registration of Cousin. The SPL statement reads: "The SPL was at 3.26pm today presented with a contract between Daniel Cousin ("the Player") and Rangers FC dated 17 February 2012, signed by the Player and by Paul Clark, the Joint Administrator of The Rangers Football Club plc (in Administration)."In terms of SPL Rule A6.20, the consent of the Board of the SPL was required for the Registration of the Player with the SPL. The Board of the SPL declined to give that consent. "Accordingly the Player is not Registered with the SPL and is not eligible to Play in SPL Matches. Rangers FC have the right to appeal this decision to the Judicial Panel of the Scottish FA.

The Educator 1,572
I thought Hearts were banned from signing any player over the age of 21? So even with the one in-one out clause how can they sign Skacel? When we were under the embargo we could not sign anybody over the age of 18, so as you say different rules for different clubs or let's just make it up as we go along. Hearts seem to have a loophole now in which they could sack a 16 year old youth player and replace him with a seasoned pro.
nelsonRFC82 305
To be fair, you are quoting an SPL decision whereas Hearts situation is being governed by SPFL. It is different rules from different organisations!
Johnny Hubbard 280
the SFA have got a ban against them too. They all got it wrong with us and it's time they faced up to it.Clubs with problems should be supported like Portsmouth were in England Hearts should be given every help possible by the SFA and SPFL

They allowed their jealousy and hatred of us to cloud their judgement and should be dealt with in the same manner we were. When we were being fraudulently taken over where were the cries of support from our counterparts and governing bodies in Scottish football. To change the rules because it's a changed name governing our game with the same people in charge would be wrong.
