CraigG 56
Hamburg seem to be on a course for relegation. Does anyone know why things are going so wrong there? I don't really follow German football that much but I've always thought of Hamburg as a pretty big club.
The Godfather 76,020
They have been pish. That's all I know
Inigo 33,408
They also seem to have some behind the scenes issues. I don't know what, but when I was there in December there were 'Not For Sale' stickers everywhere with the HSV diamond and a wee Euro sign on it. On every lamp post and wall you passed. Otherwise, as The Godfather says, they were fucking rotten when I saw them.
Goianegra 4,710
They've been on the decline for years. Relegation to bigger clubs sometimes ends up being a blessing in disguise. Wonder if they'll keep hold of van der Vaart if they go down though. Seems to be a proper HSV guy.
ClydebankBearWATP 877
Bad managerial appointments and buying shite players. They need to appoint a manager with a 5 year plan in mind whether they get relegated or not. Can't keep going on replacing managers.Think there was a guy wanting to buy the club but the fans were dead against itThey are also 100 million in debt
there'sonlyoneamoruso 1,724
The last few managers have been awful, and they never recovered from Martin Jol leaving.Frank Arnesen was a big problem as sporting director (I think). He sanctioned the signings of many overrated and overpriced players from what I can remember. This winter they needed to strengthen the defence, but didn't (probably due to their massive debt). They look doomed to me, but as others have said relegation could be a blessing. Spliffy 643
The only club to contest every season of the Bundesliga. Would be a shame to lose that, but as already said, could be what they need.
