MonkeyJug 51
No way will he take a pay-off. He will go by mutual consent.Consider the uproar over Laxey's measley 150k. Can you imagine if he did get a severance package - there would be a mutiny at Ibrox and his whole status as a Rangers legend would evaporate overnight.. I'm positive he'll go without a pay-off (eventually).
Fools Gold 488
I'd keep Ally another season, because unless Rangers are in the Top League then it narrows it down as to who would be a proper replacement. What's to say we'll get to the top league if McCoist has another season? West_Side 1,571
Surely if he's on a rolling contract we can just not renew that contract at the end of the season?
bawsburst 1,381
The simple truth is that Alistair next season is a risk to far.
cushynumber 25,178
It wouldn't even be a risk. When the final outcome is a foregone conclusion, there is no risk involved. It would be a disaster for this club if Ally was manager come next season. There are players there now who will not be good enough, and the whole situation is different. The managerial options would change as well. Right now, I feel we are stuck with Ally, but if he couldn't do it in the Championship then he will have to go.
MonkeyJug 51
Promotion next season is probably 50/50 with McCoist in charge.A risk we can ill-afford to take. Would probably take us about another 5 years to recover from that mistake...

He needs to go now, or at most, the end of this season.
gersandy 594
What's to say we'll get to the top league if McCoist has another season?Exactly, there are much better teams than Raith Rovers in the championship. Plus, if Hearts come down, manage to avoid catastrophe, and hold on to some of they young players, we'll struggle against them.
