KingInTheNorth 27 Posted August 8, 2014 Share Posted August 8, 2014 It's the modern game though, possesion is like the law, ownership 100%.A very inexperience Hibs team played that way against us and almost matched us and Legia destroyed the tims playing fast posession counter attacking passing flowing football.As a poster stated above, a punt out from the goalkeeper usually gives the opposition at least a 50% chance of the ball, and in our case, with our lack of height and fight in midfield more often than not gives the possesion away.Quite simply, if you keep the ball the opposition can't hurt you.don't get me wrong I agree with you, when I said 'when possible' I meant quite literally every time it is possible.
