The Racehorse

OCTOBER 5, 2014 / BILLMCMURDO

Once there was a magnificent racehorse.

The racehorse was known throughout the world for being a winner and was the pride of the nation.

The racehorse had several owners and trainers, who loved and cherished her. Even her stables, where she had her own race track, were famous and people would flock to them, just to see the racehorse.

One of the racehorse’s owners, who had enjoyed much success with her, began to lose interest. His business affairs were not doing so well and he ended up selling the racehorse for a paltry sum.

The new owner knew very little about racehorses. He was a gambler and his mounting debts forced him to abandon the racehorse and the stables. By this time the racehorse was in very poor health and it looked like she would have to be put down and her stables sold off.

Things were desperate. There were many who loved the racehorse who wanted to help but didn’t have the funds. However, some who claimed to love her and who had the funds, strangely held back and did nothing. Fans of the racehorse across the world were in turmoil at the prospect of never seeing the racehorse again.

Then a man from another country appeared.

He saw the racehorse as a means to make a quick profit but the minute he entered the world famous stables, he felt a strange sensation. To his own surprise he changed his mind and made a decision, not only to stick around and help the racehorse back to health but to take her to even greater heights of glory.

The man was smitten by the racehorse but he was over-eager and others who wanted the racehorse for themselves managed to run him off. However, he had managed to put together a consortium of people who owned and looked after the racehorse. These were wealthy benefactors who shared the man’s vision.

Things looked as if they were on the up. The racehorse started racing again and, although a shadow of her former self, she was winning races. The new owners seemed happy with their investment.

However, there was another consortium who wanted the racehorse and the stables. They didn’t have the financial clout to buy out the owners so they decided to take a different path.

This involved spreading rumours about the owners, starving the racehorse and preventing visitors from going to the stables. Over time they got more desperate and more vicious, especially when many refused to join them in their campaign.

The RSPCA were called. They found the perpetrators of this campaign against the racehorse and her stables and asked them: “Why are you abusing the racehorse, starving her and poisoning her water? Don’t you know that this could kill her?”

The answer was simple and immediate. “We are doing it because we love her and we want to prise her away from her owners.”

Which begs the question, dear reader:

What do you love so much you would starve it, beat and flog it, poison and abuse it? Just so you could own it?

Once there was a Martian.

He lived happily on Mars, concerning himself with only Martian matters.

Every now and then some fuckwits from Pluto and Uranaus would turn up and pollute Mars with their shite analogies. This was most harmful to the Martian atmosphere.

The Martian asked them to please fuck off and take their shite analogies with them.

Sad days indeed when the same morons continually bitch about fellow Bears for having a different opinion. It always seems to be the same little clique of bitches involved as well. Internet gangsters attacking fellow Bears? Just hope in real life they are as tough, because it will all backfire one day.

Sad days indeed. Just a pity the likes of CG and co didn't spend as much time attacking the enemies of all things Rangers.

Once there was racehorse. The racehorse owner planned to have it turned to glue once he'd used it until it could no longer run. The racehorse owner knew this would provoke outrage so he hired someone to talk shite in his defence on a daily basis.

Great day to pick.Armed forces day is one of my favourite occasions.

Yes, my missus will love Armed Forces day, she's not from the UK, so although she has been to Ibrox with me before, she wouldn't have witnessed anything like she will next Sat.

Well pleased. Last time she was there we were 0-1 down at half time and sat in the middle of lots of pissed up and pissed off Bears lol, but jig helped us score 5 in the second half. The same scoreline would do....
