Creampuff 22,628
I'm honestly unconvinced by it. Im a big fan of how similar technology is used in other sports (DRS in cricket, TMO in Rugby, Hawkeye in tennis, even goaline technology in football) but I sort of feel like the controversial moments from referee decisions are themselves part of football. People love ringing SuperScoreboard/606 to rant about the ref; not to mention everyone on here; and I'd worry that football could 'lose' that. I'm concerned that in pursuit of fairness, football loses a bit of its entertainment value.
backup 4,724
VA will kill football a game all about controversy and questionable decisions, if people want certainty in life they should stay in bed.

Basrah Bear 2,981
This would put Liewell out of a job as he normally decides what is ignored or pulled up.
GersInCanada 7,775
Video ought to be brought in. Officials cannot see everything and giving the ref the opportunty to review a decision can only increase his chances of getting it right. A.T.G 10,773
The game has changed and so has technology. We should be using the most up to date way of getting decisions right.

Ace 3,556
I'm perfectly happy with VAR being used in situations where it's a clear cut yes or no i.e. did the ball cross the line. IMO anything beyond that should be left in the hands of referees. The debate over a foul or not, A penalty or not etc us one of the best aspects of the game & if you remove that doubt them you remove an essential part of the game.
