And whether we like these people or not, a highly motivated three of McGinn, Allan and McGeogh is better than Holt and Goss with two wide players on the fringe. TLB knew that if he won the battle in the middle, he’d win the game. We need to adapt to the opposition and we should have had Docherty in beside Goss and Holt (and sacrificed Candieas or Murphy) until we’d won that battle. Important to also remember that three first picks are currently missing out of our midfield but that doesn’t excuse Murty not reading the game.
