Ally McCoist OBE & Sir Alex Ferguson Interview

Recommended Posts

Obviously time catches up on everyone and Sir Alex is no spring chicken, but this is the first time I've ever really felt that he looks and sounds his age.

It just brings it home how sad a day it'll be when he's no longer with us. An incredible character and manager. Loved this conversation between him and Ally.

13 League titles and second six times, twice only on goal difference and, when that happened, they won it the following year. Unbelievable.

Legend is an overused word but the guy has earned it.

Had it not been for an auld bigot in our directors’ box, he could well have achieved that greatness at Ibrox.

His ability to turn average players into great players was unmatched.

He won the biggest trophies in football with the likes of Wes Brown, O'Shea, Silvestre, Fletcher, Johnsen, Cleverley, Welbeck, Gibson, Rafael, Anderson etc playing huge roles.

Agreed.

And his ability to build a team based on youngsters at St Mirren, Aberdeen and United.

Plus his dismantling of a successful team with complete confidence that he would just rebuild a new team of equal or better quality.
