We beat Sporting Lisbon on away goals but the referee forgot to take this into account and made us play a penalty shootout. ulsterbear91 18 Posted April 20, 2008 Share Posted April 20, 2008 I know number 9, and I believe it may have been the cup winners cup actually but wasn't it a draw and the away goal rule had just been introduced and the referee that day wasn't aware of it so given that it was a draw he took it to penalties however someone noticed him of said rule and therefore he reversed the decision.
