Thermopylae 15,288
With hartson and levein virtually accusing McCurry of cheating has the time finally arrived when a referee takes this slander no more and takes the slanderers to court?
ekbear93 3
No. I don't think it should come to that.

Don't be silly. McCurry will simply sit back and polish his framed photo of John Greig holding the Cup-Winners Cup and sigh.

KeepBelieving1872 64
It 2-0 at the time!! If the goal or penalty had been given, who knows what would have happened in the match. You can't say that cos they scored the next goal it should have been 2-2. If McCurry wanted to help Rangers so much why not keep a "dodgy" decision for a time when the game is tight? ie when Rangers are only winning be one goal or are drawing. Celtic v Aberdeen is a different matter for me, practically last kick (sorry handball) of the game, definitely influenced the result of the match. Thermopylae 15,288
No. I don't think it should come to that. Would you feel the same if you were publicly accused of cheating for only doing your job?

Danny 9
Hartson stopped short of outright accusations of cheating. He said the ref had bottled it - and let the occasion overwhelm him. He came as close as it is possible to call a ref a cheat without using the word.
rossDas 1,071
There's a difference between a bottler and a cheat. What I wont stand for is the delusion that refs only bottle it in favour of the Old Firm. The fact that there was alot riding on todays game for both teams has blown the whole thing out of proportion.
