How much have Chelsea bid?

Recommended Posts

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani says Chelsea have made an "astronomical" bid for Brazilian Kaka.

The Blues have long been linked with a move for 26-year-old World Player of the Year and their boss is now ex-Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari.

Galliani told Italian newspaper La Stampa: "We received an astronomical offer from Chelsea for Kaka."

Galliani also revealed the club have had interest in 29-year-old Italy midfielder Andrea Pirlo.

Pirlo's agent has been reported as saying in the Italian press he wants his client to be given the same wage as Kaka.

But Galliani added: "For Pirlo, there have been many requests. But neither Pirlo nor his agent have come into my office and asked me for an improvement in salary."

Galliani says selling Kaka and Pirlo would immediately stabilise Milan's finances, with the club having missed out on a place in next season's Champions League.

"All we would need to do in order to wipe out our debts is sell Kaka and Pirlo," he said.

AC Milan technical director Leonardo told BBC Sport last month it was "impossible" for Chelsea to sign Kaka.

Kaka himself revealed to BBC Sport in April he would not rule out the possibility of one day playing for one of the big clubs in the Premier League.

Is he not a realy quite religious guy. Never does interviews and off the field is never pictured in the tabloids falling out nightclubs etc. I think i read that because he is a devout catholic that is part of the reason he wont leave Milan and Italy?????

Anyone else heard that or did i miss read stuff?

tbh, i cant see milan accepting a bid at this time and kaka has repeatedly said he doesnt want to leave. his wife has not long given birth to their first child and kaka is coming back from knee surgery. galliani is also a big gobshite and i wouldnt be surprised if chelsea actually havent made a bid.

as for pirlo, milan will only sell once they have found a replacement.

Chelsea have denied lodging a bid with Milan for Kaka, according to Sky Sports News.

Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani claimed on Sunday that the Serie A club had received 'a really big offer' from the Blues.

The Rossoneri have repeatedly stated the Brazilian playmaker is not for sale, while Kaka has voiced his intention to stay at Giuseppe Meazza.

It now appears that Chelsea are not interested in signing Kaka, even though they have been linked with a big-money move for some time.

The speculation has increased since the appointment of Luiz Felipe Scolari as manager at Stamford Bridge.

Training

The former Brazil and Portugal boss officially took up his post at the start of the month and on Sunday he visited the club's Cobham training ground for the first time.

The players will return for pre-season on Monday and Scolari is relishing the challenge in front of him.

He told the club'sofficial website: "It is fantastic to finally be here. The training ground is world class and I am very impressed by everything I have seen and heard from the staff.

"I am looking forward to welcoming the players back from their summer holidays tomorrow so we can start working together."

Kaka and Pirlo are the two saleable assets.

Galliani is lying as usual though. Chelsea haven't bid. If they had, the sale would be made.

As for Pirlo...Flamini?

i actually thought flamini was a long term replacement for gattuso. flamini isnt as good on the ball as pirlo, but is a lot better defensively so he could easily play that holding role, just not in the same style as pirlo.

one thing i am concerned about is how emerson and brocchi havent been shown the door :(

Pirlo has been mince for over a season, and at 29 if a bid comes in I'd suggest we should take it.

As for Flamini - he does have a creative edge to his game and he's young. So in the way attacking Pirlo has been moulded into a defensive mid, Flamini could be moulded to specialise in the Pirlo role.

one thing i am concerned about is how emerson and brocchi havent been shown the door :(

Likewise Maldini. I know I know, he's a legend etc *yawn* but he should NOT be on our playing staff anymore.

Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani has insisted that Chelsea made an approach for Kaka but never named a price.

The FIFA World Player of the Year has been a target for several of Europe’s biggest clubs for the last 12 months, but Chelsea have emerged as the most likely club to table a bid after the appointment of Brazilian boss Luiz Felipe Scolari.

There were reports in the Press that the Stamford Bridge giants had tabled an offer of nearly £80m in a desperate bid to lure the Sao Paulo native, but Chelsea stated that no such action has taken place.

While Galliani admits that there was an approach, he is adamant that discussions never progressed far enough for a fee to be mentioned.

“I can confirm that Chelsea declared their interest in Kaka,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“But I told them that Milan were not interested in selling him and I stopped everything before they could make any offer. So, I don’t know whether they would have offered £80m.”

there was no bid....i'm shocked

Galliani is a joke of a figurehead, a lying scumbag who makes McLies look like a moral and upstanding citizen.

Since Berlu symbolically packed in the role, our public image has got worse and worse thanks to this clown.
