Gaffbear 4,096
i liked Jazza but turned his back on us when we only had him and Coop in the side. Was that not the 8-1 game we beat Kille in 1980/81...????

Gaffbear 4,096
Big MacAdam...when football players were men with broken noses and a cruciate ligament was something you had to take a whiskey to get rid of. I was at that game with my brother. The ground was full of Mods and Skins............oh happy days

It wasn't all bad in those days. One thing I did notice was how players got up after a challenge and limped away, where as they'd definitely stay down and get treatment now. They knew the ref would let them lie there for ages before summoning the 'trainer' I suppose...either that or they feared the magic sponge.
OlegKuznetsov 10,816
It was Gaff. Here's the opener. I always thought that Colin McAdam looked like Barbara Dickson.

I loved the football then and your right it had to be a broken leg for players to stay down then....
Coopermania 1
Bett was a decent player, but not a legend so to speak.
Briton 394
Bett was a decent player, but not a legend so to speak. I agree with that. Had a bit of style about him but no superstar.
