I've got to say I am gutted to see Carlos go. £7.8m is not a lot for a player of his class then I now hear Osasuna have a sell-on clause and take a chunk of that fee. Doesn't leave a lot to rebuild and to be brutally honest we only have one player that would get in the Sellik team and he's injured!! Surely Bain couldn't be THAT daft? <_< Then Osasuna say no to the transfer and we don't get the player. The days of 'buy the player and he's all ours' is long gone I'm afraid to say. There's release clauses for foreigners who don't want to be stuck in a footballing backwater (SPL) for years and sell on fee's for the selling club to sell cheap in the first place.
