simplythebest 11,453
It drove me mad to see how may of the 11 today were out of position, most clubs have that sometimes but today it seemed beyond a joke! Rangers: McGregor, Broadfoot, Weir, McCulloch, Whittaker, Ferguson, Mendes, Adam, Darcheville (Novo 77), Boyd (Beasley 69), Lafferty. Subs Not Used: Alexander, Edu, Dailly, Niguez, Kinniburgh. Broadfoot's not a right back, McCulloch's not a centre half, Whittaker's not a left back, Lafferty is not a right winger. Thats 4 players and 3 of them were the backline which is very worrying, Weir was the only one of the back 4 playing in their natural position! And we can expect more of it when theres a few injuries given that it looks like we'll not be signing anyone in january. This mess shows that a centre half at the least should have been signed. simplythebest 11,453
He did better but itc clearly not his position. I feel sorry for him in that hes played nearly everywhere except from up front bar perhaps a few minutes as a sub.

steamroller 0
I have noticed smith has a preference for players who have a bit of versatility. Most of his signings are able to play in a few positions. Not neccesarily a bad thing, and we won 2-0 so no complaints from me.
