On the other hand I understood if you lose your first CL qualification round as we did yagainst Kaunus you will still get a UEFA place from next year?...heard that somewhere not sure though yep. also, I believe the cup finalist thing is stopping from next season. He knew going into the Kaunas tie that we would not have Cuellar, Davis or Ferguson available against a team who although not being very good were in the middle of their season. He never got replacements in time. Yet he spent 7m on Miller, Velicka and Lafferty. He played McCulloch and Adam in centre mid and I forget our great defence. He should have been shot.
