Because in most European countries their coaches tend to focus on things like technique and positioning from a young age. In Scotland the general concensous is that you could be a good footballer if you are 6'0, can do 100 press up's in a minute and aimlessly chase a football like a dog chasing a car. Tha distinct lack of 'deep fried' products, aswell as the lack of ned/yob culture also plays a part too. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

My Belgian mate subsequently came to the UK and watched my son, who plays U17's at a good level. He couldnt believe how physical it was at that age, he was gobsmacked at some of the tackling.
