Don't worry about the lack of football. We did what we had to do and our opponents combusted. Just keep grinning.

149 Years Ago This Week. The Birth of the Rangers.

“Their first game was a terrible spectacle with the ball suffering an incredible amount of abuse” Not much changed in Scottish football then. That's a brilliant quote from William Dunlop, showing even back then football was a game that had some great characters Now we are probably playing the most creative and skilled football in our 150th year, and at least the ball itself is not taking the same abuse from our current players.. -
Alongside Vieira Lampard, and Bergkamp. and I'd also add that Portuguese guy who played for Man United.

Yeah, was just reading it again. Bit confusing. So, it's not the official FA hall of fame, it seems, yet looks legit.

He's in pretty decent company too. (Keane the weakest link there) https://www.premierleague.com/hall-of-fame/inductees

And at no time was it implied or taken to task officially that there may have been obvious sectarian or even racist issues in targeting a foreign player in Scotland for a political,(as in seeming sensible and judicious in the circumstances).minded football agenda by the press and media. That is what annoyed me the most. But thankfully Gerrard, Defoe and his other team mates and advisors steered him through it when a reasonable man, especially a good family man, would probably have thought "fuck this, I'm out of this cesspit". Wee hero who has become a greater player and already a man of huge stature in our history.

Ethnic and racist abuse against folk of an Orange colour should not be tolerated. -

A wee tip for gardeners. Choose a colour scheme you like in the garden, but keep it subtle, as it might annoy the neighbours. -

Maybe they don't like my occasional spelling mistakes, just a sign of old age. -

I suspect you are used to being humiliated. Always best to stick to what you do best. -

My wife is English and takes no interest in my football habit, Was in the garden this morning. We've been selling some of the old good stuff in the garden in recent months to buy better old good stuff for the garden. There's a stone gnome bird feeder behind the big oak tree which came with the property, probably 30-40 odd years old and quite nicely weathered. Gnomes not our idea of classic garden furniture, so we measured its' height for sale on the local internet market site. Height was 55 cm. My wife said to me "Will you remember that ?" She spent the £28 we got for it straight away on a stupid (she said cute) thermoset plastic chicken planter thing which will soon annoy me more and more. I was content with that. Happy days. -
If Roofe had scored the vital and spectacular goals he did in the league and Europe in a green and white hooped top, he'd have been a certainty to have been voted in.

A poll where many of the players would have allegiances to cellic (or other teams) which would put huge biases on the vote. We still done well, and probably just reflects how many of our enemies play for the other teams. A percentage check of the votes would be interesting, showing how many did not vote for the obvious candidates. At the end of the day though. all our players did what they had to do this season, all that matters, every one a player of the year as a team.
