  1. That's gotta hurt. DJ misses from 3 feet. Spieth wins. AGAIN.......and it certainly won't be the last.......
  2. Aw fucks. DJ misses and has left a stinker for birdie.....
  3. I'd say massive chance mate either now, or tomorrow........
  4. Spieth misses eagle attempt...... DJ eagle will win this! Don't want a playoff after staying up so late!!!!
  5. Bomber from DJ on 18 straight down the fairway................ That's unlucky from Grace.
  6. Superb from Spieth. just brilliant. DJ will need eagle (at least!!!)....
  7. Fucking hell DJ! He makes that and finds the fairway on 18 he can somehow turn this all around! His putting has been letting him down though Great drive from Spieth.......
  8. If he can just get away with bogey Grace may have a lifeline. Great 3rd,,,,,,
  9. Oosthy has 4 birdies in a row and now has a putt for eagle on 16! Don't think it'll be enough though regardless. Grace or Spieth look like they'll fight it out........... Grace has led 7 times on the final day. Won 7 times apparently. Spieth is incredible though. Interesting...............
  10. Superb fighting by Day, great approach there..............
  11. If true I think we've got to trust Warburton on this one. When I heard who it was I was a little underwhelmed. In my opinion I would like to think there are many leaders within the game who are available at a younger age and can play a holding midfield role. Of course age is just a number and he may well turn out to be a great piece of business and play for a good few more years. Value is essential and if he can enhance our team, nurture and guide the young lads then we'll all be delighted. To compare his situation to Pirlo, Xavi, Lampard, Gerrard etc is a little silly IMO. These guys are genuinely top class players who have played at the highest level so there's no real comparison. Weir and Neil however are more fair and accurate comparisons and hopefully he can have a similar impact to them. I think the fact we've been burnt by older signings in the past many times and the fact not many of us know much about him and he's almost at the end of his career, naturally means some of us are a tad wary, and I don't think there's anything wrong with being a little wary of the unknown. That said he's played at a better level than we are, lead and captained them, and by all by all accounts his ex club fans seem to speak highly of him. It also seems his character may just be as important as his ability. As said above if Warburton believes in him, for those who haven't seen much of him, myself included, then we have to trust Warburton's judgement on this one.
  12. Betfair odds on top rest of the world player haven't changed over the past few days. Not sure how much longer it'll last. Grace is 16s. Day is 5s. They even have each way for top 4 rest of the world. Also Smith is 50s and Romero is 80s. They obviously all won't be top 4 I don't think but that's incredible value if you bet wisely. You can thank me later
  13. Turned to night I think. Shit jokes aside I think it's possibly vertigo.
  14. Cole Hammer, aged 15 just shot 77 on that course. He was born in 2000! That's just mental! Great name too!
  15. Just noticed this on another thread. Great news IMO. His emphasis on youth and playing football the right way is so refreshing. I'd imagine his knowledge of players around that age, given his history, is a massive advantage for us.
  16. Not sure if it's been verified or not by a more credible source (can't say I trust Jackson!) but if Warburton is indeed at the under 21s championship that would be great news IMO and a sign of intent for the future.
  17. Really difficult to pick a winner so I have just stuck on about £30 on a combination numerous 6 folds, stakes ranging from 13p to 75p, minimum return of £1800.00 approx, to hopefully give me some decent interest. Top Argie - Cabrera (to beat Romero) Top Canadian - Fritsch (to beat Hearn) Top Dane - Bjerregard (to beat Cappelen) Top English - Casey, Willett, Fleetwood or Sullivan Top South African - Oosthuizen, Grace or Coetzee Top US - DJ, B Watson, Walker, Woods (just in case ), Moore, Mahan, Woodland, C Hoffman, Putnam or Beljan Let the madness commence!
  18. If Warburton trusts and likes him then that'll do for me for now. Good age and by all accounts likes to pass the ball, just the way Warburton wants to play. Not having a barrel load of games and a few injury issues at his age is a slight concern but as a few have mentioned some players develop a little later and you also need a bit of luck. Not a like for like comparison obviously as I've never seen the lad play, nor am I comparing careers but Coquelin at Arsenal is of a similar age and played a similar number of games. Now he's been a revelation. Hopefully Kiernan can do similar for us if he joins. Also many younger players in England spend a lot of time on short loan spells to other clubs. Just good to be looking at younger blood.
  19. The length of the course will be a huge factor. 3 of the par 4s are 3 of the longest in history at 534, 537 and 546 yards! Some won't reach that even with their Sunday Best! If you're short and can't keep it straight you have no chance. Dustin Johnson is interesting. His form has been going from atrocious to sublime, sometimes in the same tournament. However with his length I think he'll contend strongly. I'll have a better look for good value players in the next day or two. Michael Putnam isn't necessarily long nor consistently great but he lives 1 mile from the course so is one of the few who know the course. Could be possible value for top 10/20. Ominously though Spieth's caddie lives near by too and also has course knowledge.
