Meh. Point still stands that statement is factually untrue . We signed Catholics, we signed players who married Catholics. They all played before or around the time of McNeill.
Meh.He wasn't a Catholic you provided a list of 3 of which 1 was wrong so if you are going to state things as fact do a little research first.

To whom it may concern,
May I draw your attention to the article (link below) Hail Cesar! Why Billy McNeill is all-time great of British football- https://news.sky.com/story/hail-cesar-why-billy-mcneill-is-all-time-great-of-british-football-11701823.
Now I’m sure Sky prides itself on being a factual news outlet which doesn’t discriminate or intend to wrongfully slander any individual, groups or institutions.
Yet this sentence, which is at the time of writing this email, still part of the article- “celtic's biggest rivals, Rangers, were notorious for refusing to sign Catholic players” is factually incorrect, slanderous and inflammatory as it suggests that Rangers Football Club refused to sign football players based on their religious background which is simply not true.
That statement is slanderous and puts an unwarranted negative light on Rangers Football Club. Here I provide you with a few Catholic players who played for Rangers before the era of Billy McNeill and during the era of Billy McNeill.
Don Kitchenbrand
Laurie Blyth
Graham Fyfe
If I could be of any more assistance in educating the man who wrote that article then I’d gladly help or if you’d like further names of Catholics who played for Rangers Football Club then please do get in touch.
Thanks for all your time,
Email for Sky complaints is this - mdthorndike@sky.uk. If people want to use that email template batter in.
Fucking sick of this now it’s every article, every report they just have to paint Rangers in a bad light wether that be an attempted murder or the death of a cellic player.
Was Graham Fyfe not a Protestant and married a catholic girl?

Took 2 or 3 days to request the cancellation aswell .
Was seriously gutted about the cancellation as we were flying and they were struggling.
They even got to hand pick the rescheduled fixture right in the middle of our UEFA run .
Another thing they got away with that would add to your list of today .Big Jan vinger of whatsitcalled blatentently elbowed one of our players and went on to score .
Motherwell Vs Dundee utd . Only two clubs had matches postponed utd not one of them .McGeady was suspended for the original date but played in the rearranged match.

Aye but no matches postponed that only happens if it hinders us and assists them.

From what I remember, he was a half decent centre half and was great heading a ball, BUT only if it was straight in front of his forehead. Put it at his feet and he was fucked.
RonnieMcKinnon was 10x the footballer he was. McNeil was a player that suited a team that should have got football banned.
Ian Ure also played around then also. In those days not all that many internationals played only really Home internationals and qualifiers for World Cup and European Championship. Oh and Ronnie McKinnon was a much better player.

gain could a.forsyth be standing behind doddy and the man in question is gordon dalzeil ???
Think it's Kenny Watson behind Gregor Stevens. Might be a wee bit before Dalzeil's time plus nose isn't big enough👃.

I sat through their 9inar & European Cup yrs (they got to 2 finals) it was murder, my da had these books with photos of us winning trophies (sixties) I used to think ‘when will we win trophies’ and I find myself telling my grandkids, it’s ok we will do this, like my da used too. It’s still murder, it’s longer now without a trophy when I was young.
We also got to two European finals in that period.

Good point, forgot that was a play off match.
Going back to that would be better than the current rumors as to who gets in.

I know it won't, but I wish it would go back to the original format.
Champions of domestic league = CL Groups
In the first Champions League we played in a play off against Leeds United.

Did they not leave their lights on deliberately to help the luftwaffe for navigation over the Irish sea?
The lights helped them to bomb Belfast and Liverpool. Didn't stop the Luftwaffe bombing Dublin a couple of times 😄

It's not just Ajax match that's postponed they rearranged the whole round of matches so nobody gets an advantage just like in 2008

Might take it up to 55k with them screens out guessing.
It will depend on how it's done. If they leave the supports for the SJ roof it reduces if they are taken it will be a major engineering project.

Worked with a guy who every Friday made a point of getting to the front of the queue at the canteen to order fish. So one day I asked why his reply was if there is no fish one of them goes hungry. Next week I had fish.
