I understand that. My concern is nothing to do with the result although any defeat to a team like Sunderland is embarrassing. It's the fact we still don't have a number 1, Barisic is still here. Arfield and Davis are starting. Wright is still in the team! I mean have we learned absolutely nothing from last season? I don't want to see these guys. They aren't good enough.

Strange as i really enjoyed pumping Madrid last summer and when we went to France and won that pre season friendly tournament thing. We were awesome. I think fans sometimes underestimate just how important pre season is and how important winning any game is. It breeds so much. Winning is a habit. You either have it or you dont. The facts tonight are we have 1 new player in the team and 1 long term injured back. 9 players who were part of a side who failed last season are still starting. This is where we are. Arfield and Wright offer us nothing. Kent in all honesty isn't interested. Davis touching 40. Barisic has continued his horrific form. And we still need a new number 1. If you are not even slightly concerned then......i don't know. Under no circumstances should Rangers be losing any game to a League 1 team, newly promoted or not. Our fans were apoplectic with rage at the thought of us signing Ross Stewart....as it stands he's enjoying the game far more than us. This is extremely poor.

Sunderlands wee tarrier manager has them right up for this. It's no friendly to them. Someone should probably tell our players.

Don't think we can read anything into the starting line up tonight with so many changes still to come. Think at least another 3 regulars from last season will move on meaning we will need to delve back into the market for more players. Still excited to get back watching us again in any case. Totally agree with you there Rab. When we are chasing a game or seeing it out and Gio looks to his bench he is going to go for Davis or Arfield ahead of Lowry or McCann. i also have a horrible feeling McGregor is going to be number 1 again. It's frustrating because i'm sure we all want to see the kids get more game time, Lowry especially as he is so exciting. The keeper situation is a concern for me though. Huge concern in fact. 3 signings this summer and still no RW. A position which 9 Rangers fans out of 10 would have said is the number 1 priority over the last 3 years!

I have a horrible feeling Aribo Kent and Morelos are all waiting to see if we qualify for the Champions League group stages, if we qualify they will see out their deals with no desire to extend and if we fail, they will ask to move on.

By all accounts this has been years in the making. Davie King initially holding it up, Park allegedly refusing to work with, or for him. Not sure what to make this appointment myself. Does anyone have any info on his track record, in numbers? Yes celtic had a handful of big sales pre Rodgers but they also wasted tens of millions on absolute rubbish. What about celtic? We've bullied them every game bar 2 for the last 3 years yet they still manage to dispatch the cannon fodder within the league with relative ease every week. So much ease in fact they went unbeaten in the league from Xmas there to the seasons end. They are a small side filled with physically handicapped fairies if you like. You don't need to be a monster to be successful in Scotland. That thinking is just so Scottish. Remember Goldson thought the semi final was over at 3-0. I'm sure he's had another losers quote as well about something else. His mentality or opinion is not one i would be supporting Graeme.
