I normally look forward to the teams being anounced, if nothing else it means the game is on soon. However today I'm not really bothered. What ever the line up is I'm not likely to be impressed, so hopefully I'll be impressed by the play and the result.

Trapp was a similar age whe he took the Ireland job. Not a great comparrison as an international job is essentially part time. However Magath as a DOF / consultant with a younger manager might be a shout. Dusseldorf just missed the play offs last season and are doing well again. Magath and Thioume, might be a decent partnership.

If we don't act now we haven't a chance. If we can stay within striking distance of them until November, we can then bring in a new manager who can look at the squad and then improve in the Jan window. However if we stay within striking distance of them, then MB is going to be kept on and get the Jan window.

Is he terrible, or was he just exposed under the previous style of play, but now getting more protection? I'd want to see a few more games before I decide if he's terrible.

The squad we have, is the squad until Jan, unless we get some guys who are free agents. So if we can't change the squad, our only option is to change the person managing the squad. Not exactly rocket science

My opinion of MB has always been tainted by the way he rocked up at Ibrox when Gio was under pressure. This kind of thing simply isn't done IMHO. So I have tried not to say too much, but have probably still said plenty, but he really has to go NOW.

I'd go with that, but not one summer signing in the line up shows what a shit window it's been, despite being an expensive one.

The best thing I can say about the window, it that THEIRS hasn't been much better. If at all. They've signed a few youngsters who could be un polished diamonds, or unpolished turds. Their best two signings look like they'll be the two loans. Would I take any of them? Well given our CB situation I'd probably take one or two of them.

Perhaps I did miss his point. But I think it's dangerous to budget for something that isn't guaranteed. As fans, we can say this or that should happen, but that's not the same as spending money based on what could or even should happen

Don't agree with calling him a prick, but a lot of what he says is really bugging me. I said a long time ago he was just a "sound bite" manager, playing to the masses. And that doesn't seem to have changed. He talks a good game but delivers fuck all

On seedings West Ham Macabi and Rackow looks best. At least if we get West Ham we'll be the top seeded side in the group. Although obviously Zagreb would be better
