  1. Could be 11 points behind after the next 3 games. Serioulsy, if WS brings back the 'boys' ala Lee and Adam, we will drop points for sure. keep Fleck and play aaron, go for it you old shitebag!! We are Rangers, not fucking kilmarnock!!
  2. Do you support the firing of 6,100 rockets at Israel from the Gaza strip? yes I DO Your a twat. I take it you are left wing? Funny how the left in this country have now sided with the most right wing, bigoted, xenaphobic, sexist and murderous organisations on earth.
  3. Would you care to elaborate? He is showing sympathy for the thousands of innocent people getting killed. He's hardly wearing a Hamas t shirt. FFS he is our best defender and entitled to his opinion. You are obvioulsy a reactionary, uneducated moron. My sympathies lie with isreal but I respect every mans right to freedom of choice.
  4. So would I, in an ideal world. Dont forget we have had some awesome foreign talent and they do have a good influence on the local boys. Celtic dissapearing over the horizon must not be allowed to happen. That doesnt mean spend, spend, spend, but have a manager inplace who will spend wisely.
  5. We were getting pumped by Aberdeen and Dundee Utd, do you think that's a better situation than now? We were financially much wealthier than those clubs back then but did it help? Fact is things go in cycles, look throughout our history and you'll see, and we're at the bottom of one right now. We wont remain there if some long term measure are implemented and fans accept the short term pain. We haven't accepted that pain over the last few years, we've demanded and demanded and what do we get? Short termism employing Smith and giving him money we don't have. Murray did that for one reason, for you. Me? I think he'd have been better off building slowly but suspect most wouldn't accept that. While I agree with most of what you are saying, you are ommitting one crucial factor in your argument that makes this era so dangerous for us. The CL and the money that comes with it. In the past no-one was going to dissapear over the horizon. Thats the problem now, the mhanks could potentially. How did we claw it back in the 80's? MONEY. Thats how. I beleive in 5 to 10 years the clubs that constatntly compete in the CL will break way and form some kind of invitation league that represents European football. I genuinly fear we wont be invited and have been seen as the weaker of the 2 for a long time now. A change of fortunes is needed sooner rather than later.
  6. I find it pathetic this argument about dignity and folk patronisisngly preaching about how we should conduct ourselves. The fact of the matter is, yes, we had bad times in the past, but times were diffrent. There wasnt the massive financial gulf between teams. Folk have to wake up big time and realsie that if the mhanks get a bit more ambitious they can leave us for dead for a very, very, very long time. Its money taht dictates who stays on top and by coming second best each year we are falling further nad further behind. the mhanks could become like Lyon and dominate our league for years. If it wasnt for those 2 under big red, what would they be on? get a fecking grip, this is a serious as it gets. We are sleepwalking into this, ive said it for years now.
  7. I disagree. I think our absession with Timmy has ostracised us as a support, made us look perochial. TBB is gone, although I would welcome it back with new words. Try standing in a bar in Brisbane after watching a game, in a pub full of people from England, Wales, Ireland, N.Ireland, Australians, kiwis etc and see how the immortal line goes down. I can assure you it looks ugly and moronic. Of course the term fenian is not connected to catholicism but do you honestly beleieve half our support know that? How can SDM come out and defend TBB? Its dated and has fuck all to do with the football club he is in charge of. As for the Famine song, yes, it was a satarical masterpiece, but yet again it was hijacked. the day it was sung at Noel Hunt, was the day it became indefensible. SDM has already stated there has been an over-reaction to all this and its agenda driven. What more do you want him to do?
  8. I agree with most of what the RST is saying here, but i would have liked to have seen the statement go into a bit more detail. I have never forgiven WS for refusing to play the likes of Buffel, Fleck and Gow last season when up front we were fooked. Big lee was dire, everybody and anybody could see that, but no, the old fool refused point blank to freshen it up, even for a couple of games. I agree with some other posters, spending after kaunus was an absolute must, but Wattie has made a cunt of that as well. Its his tactics, his singings (from coaching staff down), his inability to try youngsters, play players in thier best positions, inability to see Barry and his pals are gargabe and have hindered the team. To be fair to sdm he has backed the man with serious cash. A better manager wouldnt have pished it up against the wall.
  9. Is it true Aaron is only on loan from valencia? If so, how long? At the present rate I expect him to be back next season, and propbably starting games for them.
  10. HE looks like ME, for the record. Hello Davie, Well done with this camapaign, especially the bit about set plays and bringing on youth. The coaching staff at Ibrox is definately jobs for the boys. Youse could draw attention to our lack of scouting network, Ewen Chester, what does this guy do? All the best with it P.S. Yes, you do look like John Higgins come to think of it! :-)
  11. I believe that David Murray first hinted at selling Rangers in 2005. It is now 2009. It may not be possible for him to find a buyer for Rangers for quite some time. Should we simply accept appalling mismanagement because he has put the club up for sale? And let this situation continue for years? We might very well be stuck with the 'Devil we know' - that is reason enough to support this campaign. Is what Murray doing now not rectifying some of these mistakes? He is trying to get books balanced. Its not his fault Walter mis-spent in the summer. Has he not had a good look around Murray park recently and asked Walter to get rid of the dead wood? I think he is getting the club more self reliant. And that means spending what it can afford. We cannot afford to spend £6M on a player anymore and perhaps we never could. When Murray does go and the new guy comes in and sees what income we are getting, Im sure they will not believe we were spending the millions on transfers that we are. You look at Celtic and although they have dominated the past Decade and had plenty of Euro money coming in, they have never really spent above what they could afford. I look at the trusts points, but perhaps supporters of every single club in the land could ask the same things. I agree. While we need fresh investment, for me the biggest scandal of these years has been the mis-managment of our club. Im glad the trust have addressed the lack of tactics, set play awareness that we have been subjected to for a lifetime. The coaching staff have to hold thier heads in shame, we are quite possibly the most predictable team in the spl at times. Walter smith has been given a LOT of money. He has spunked it. Walter smith does not give youth a chance. he is the man to blame for most of our current plight. Personally i would rather have seen a 'Walter Smith must go' banner.
  12. Good article, embaressing arguments on the thread though!
  13. For those in work, what is this?
  14. Didnt leGuen say he want him?? Im sure he publicly came out and said he wanted him as a CF? Has his form been that bad at Shalke? Or has someone extra special ben keeping him out?
  15. The bit that kills me is, when he says "even if we had kept Boyd there would have been no guarentee's". He is not confident in WS, its written all over that statement.
  16. Some of that was depressing, some of that was inspiring. Could Edu, Davis, mendes and say Aaron be our new dream midfield? Anyway, DG, i do enjoy you keeping me up to date with all these articles being stuck down under.
  17. Exactly, although that was with Cosuin. Im not convinced with either Laffterty nor Naismith. Feel we need a big bruiser from the championship to bully SPL defences. And yes, I acknowledge this is a sad state of affairs.
  18. What is that, 5 total. I remember after HS, turning round to my mate in the kensington and saying we should not take this for granted, too cherish it. I had the feeling then that we were on the verge of staring into a footballing abyss. You just knew thatw e wouldnt win the league back. All the haggling about Elmander underlined taht monet was still a major issue with the club. We simply had to win the league last season, get us in the CL and make some money. I never bought into the "its in the bag" crap that most of us were saying. This is very, very serious bears. What happens this season is the diffrence between us getting 1AR or them getting 9 or more. Worse, being asked to play in a league that we are not invited to. Before now they have kept the biscuit tin shut, this could be about to change. A more ambitious board could have buried us this decade. We owe Big red an almighty gratitude for getting us 2 titles against the odds. Im devestated by all this. This isnt selling Hutton for crazy money, this is as some one has already said, a skint and weak Rangers, who might be fatally wounded. SDM take a bow. WS take a bow for spunking money we could not afford. The blame lies with them.
  19. Obviously I'd prefer to lose the deadwood, but it wouldn't break my heart if all 3 of them were punted. I prefer Alexander anyway. Bougherra? Would you rather see Wier and Big Kirk? Are you insane?
  20. I think you will find that Novo and Naismith are both 20 goals a season guys. Not proved it year in year out. I'll repeat Novo and Naismith have proved that they can score 20 goals a season(for diddy teams) 'not against diddy teams' Point of the day!!
  21. What do we get from JJB? 2 mill a year? I hope this isnt true but wouldnt be surprised. Yip and JJB are about to go down the pan if the rumours are true. This is bad, if true. Very bad. How crucial is it we win the league now??
  22. What do we get from JJB? 2 mill a year? I hope this isnt true but wouldnt be surprised.
  23. But they might contribute more and be a lot more effective? Or does that not matter? Who can contribute that much more in our current squad that it is worth losing Boyd's goals for?? A lot of folk seem to be creaming thereselve over Naismith. Is that not a good thing, no? Shows we have faith in him, rate him, positive attitude towards him - or is that bad because he's not scored 20 gaols this season? You'd rather have faith and a positive attitude to someone who hasn't proven themselves than someone who puts goals in the net every game? well said He doesnt score EVERY game though does he? Did he score last satraday? Ive said it a million times, 2 goals against teams like Inverness when you are already winning is more his thing, although he has improved this season. It wasnt so long ago wee novo scored 25+ in the SPL. Doesn't matter who we're playing its 3 points in a league we're trying to win. And you need to beat the better teams to win the league! We are 5 points behind the mhanks. Boyd has played nearly every game. He is not winning us the league is he?

  25. I disagree. Most Tims I know love it when Boydie starts against them. Dont rate him as he consistently does fuck all against them. I dont think we can afford to get rid of him, UNLESS, we get a cousin type striker in. Who knows what Lafferty is capable of up front, alongside Miller with Novo on the wing? There is potential for goals in there. We must replace him with a technically strong CF who can hold the ball up. Put it this way, what was the best performance of the season, by a country mile? Did KB play any part in that? How many goals did we score?
