  1. Can't imagine any other manager on earth starting McCulloch.
  2. At 75 minutes, just one goal down, we look defeated. This is really, really dire.
  3. Was a scramble but from the replay, Boyd could have done better.
  4. Might be one of those days you just can't score. Hope not ffs!
  5. To be fair to the guy the post is really about an article related to green. I just hijacked the thread with my dumb question.
  6. I lost track of the Charles green issue. I know he is persona non grata to many. But why? Was it because of the alleged connection to Craig whyte? Was he responsible for lost millions and financial management? Just a bit fishy? Sorry if I'm ten pages behind, but can someone clarify please?
  7. Even I remember that and I have a memory like a sieve! I think Jim Jeffries was in charge. When they went down to 7 men he was telling the ref to end it, if I recall correctly.
  8. Yeah, feel like a bit of an idiot for not realising there'd be some veteran with simplythebest already. Need to change my name to SassyPapac.
  9. Ah ok, I didn't know about he two year renewal part. Sounds like a crap deal for the employer! No surprises it was us who offered it then
  10. Moyes on a 6 year deal. What a bunch of absolute tits. Wouldn't be surprised it Moyes took a dive for early retirement with 5 years free pay.
  11. Ha! Hadn't seen this before. Magic. Probably got reprimanded for being patriotic sectarian
  12. Surely it's the opposite? A rolling contract protects the employer, because if they don't like someone they can boot them out half the way into the year and only be required to pay half a year's salary. No leverage at all for the employee. Could be wrong!
  13. I get why you might expect Ally to take a pay cut when money is tight, but you can't expect him to take the same cut in a scenario where we're kicking him out the door. "Ally, you're fired. Mind if we keep half your pay?" You can have a go at him for a lot of things, but he's not to blame for the contract he was offered.
  14. Have to admit I'm surprised the backing Hutton is getting on here recently (never seen much in him personally) but happy to see him picked ahead of Black for a month or two - both to see what Huts can do, and have Black have to force his way back into the team on merit. I think most would agree both are stop-gaps on the way back up.
  15. Think that's a bit strong personally, but he has a shocking attitude and needs dropped for an amount of time that'll make him think.
  16. Fair points, he's been M.I.A. for best part of a year and it's been infuriating to watch. If he can recapture the form he started with and scores double figures again I'll be happy, but if he spends another two or three games hiding I'll be saying the same as you.
  17. Regardless of who the better player is on their day (Black or Hutton), Black needs a serious reality check. He's had it too easy for way too long and needs dropped for 10 games, no questions. Tempted to say the same about Law but think he might chip in a few goals this season so will reserve judgement.
  18. Agreed - I do think he deserves another good run this season. Every time he tries and fails at beating a man he'll be learning so let him have at it and see if we can save a million quid on a new player in a couple of years time. Also excited about McLeod, and would love to see Gallagher get a fair chance to prove himself this season.
  19. The coach at my youth team always shouted "Play it to the mid!" even if you were in the final third. He ended up coaching at some Serie B team, so there you go!
  20. Sadly, you're right. Although on the point about what they would have to gain, the advertising revenue and potential sales opportunities might add up. A forum might not be right for them, but there's a world of apps, campaigns, microsites etc they could be using to engage with current fans and maybe even find us new ones.
