  1. The thing that convinces me he is involved is that he works in brand marketing. Between playing pool and telling the designers what to do, these chumps generally get a rough idea how to set up a bog-standard website. RTC fits that bill exactly. Does anyone on here work at GoDaddy?
  2. Di Matteo deserves to keep the job. It's mad to think the two most important factors in their Champs League win might be away next season.
  3. I don't understand - are you saying he has a hard-as-fuck security team?
  4. The biggest age change in anyone's life is from 17-18. You are officially a man because you can (legally) drink, shag, smoke etc. Surely it's also the biggest year in a footballers life too as they are expected to have matured mentally to a point where they don't need constant advice and tutoring. What I am getting at is I think signing 17 year old's is not much use to us for next season, whereas signing 18 year old's could get us someone who is ready to play every week. I don't know what the sanctions officially rule out, but I seriously hope we can go for 18 year old's and not just kids.
  5. They sponsor Scottish football to get more business. If they get less business and a bad rep, they will stop sponsoring. The loss of sponsorship will get us everything we demand.
  6. Is anyone thinking of showing up to support the players? Edu, Boca & Ale that is
  7. Great comments Maxi. Thanks for the input. I agree completely with the idea of keeping a running total of lost revenue. A big counter next to each sponsor which reads "£150,000 lost" would be impactfull.
  8. Your opinion that clubs won't die was backed up with a theory on youth players and the example of relegated teams. This is your opinion to have and I can only disagree. However, your claims that we are racist, xenophobic etc are completely unfounded and you have no right to that opinion. You represent the classic ignorant casual observer who gets all their 'facts' from newspapers. If you spent even 1 hour researching the figures, you would realise this is sensationalist and far from the truth. I am a true Rangers fan, and completely open and accepting of people from all walks of life. Also, I can guarantee your 5,000 fans at 75 minutes comment is laughably inaccurate. You will never win an argument by simply lying. The last thing you are dead wrong about, is that we CERTAINLY do not do walking away.
  9. My concern with this idea is that everyone will still want to watch the games.
  10. This is a great point - I wonder if there is a workaround or loophole? I think a boycott can only work if bears can still watch the games, so it's really about having communal areas to watch the game and get a few other incentives that weren't there before. It might sound a bit old fashioned, but we could do things like send signed merchandise prizes out to Gers pubs and sell raffle tickets (with the money going to the RFFF/charities or even just the bar owners).
  11. I very much agree with both of you about the screenings. Do we all think a petition to Green would be the best way to proceed? If we can get 5,000 or so names saying they would attend a screening, it may levy the pressure. I can set up a petition page by the weekend, but it might be more effective as a page on RM. What do we think?
  12. I previously mentioned in a thread that I was considering setting up a website to help bears centralise efforts to boycott SPL sponsors. In short, this was a website that listed the SPL sponsors and beside each offered the names/locations of alternatives with discount codes and other incentives wherever possible. With the rejection of the appeal, I will now definitely be making this site with a view to going live a few weeks in advance of next season. I also wanted to add a calendar feature which could offer bears alternative activities on away days. I wanted to find out what kind of things might encourage bears to observe an away game boycott - so your input is greatly appreciated. For example, we could do a groupon style deal section for Gers pubs around the city on away days. Or, even better, we could petition Mr. Green to open up Ibrox and screen away games for a £5-£10 charge. EDIT: I should point out that I don't go to away games, so I understand if the regulars disagree with me and I'll take all feedback on the chin.
  13. We protest in the tens of thousands, doing whatever we can to bring the country to a halt.
  14. Hold on...that reads like it was Rangers fans who caused the disturbance, does it not? Who else would be at Ibrox when it isn't a match-day? Not only do the bheasts get away with their actions, but it ends up looking like we done it? Wow...fuck...
  15. Sorry, not sure what her name is mate, but cheers for the rep!
  16. Big Foot will be the new owner, with The Loch Ness Monster in as director of football.
  17. I hate the way they claim to know what we are thinking and feeling. Any casual observer reading this will think we are all practically suicidal. Misrepresenting the truth. Is that not the worst crime a reporter can commit? Obviously not these days.
  18. Looks great. Clean layout and lots of nice detailing. I like the swooshy-opera-house-into-star logo too. You could maybe make the header navigation stand out a bit more with higher contrast? Or move it below the banner? Also, you should change the first sentence from 'Welcome to our website!' to 'Welcome to our website, you drongo!' Edit: When I go to About Us, then back to Home, the page breaks.
  19. Journo is sent to America at fairly high expense. Fails to get a story because he (like anyone else) should have called ahead. Decides he has to write something other than "They decided not to talk to me and I can't speculate why." It's how that industry works - long gone are the days when the story would be scrapped because no information was gleaned. He just decided to take a wild swipe at the man so it doesn't look like a wasted trip. These people have absolutely no morals and will simply print lies or opinions for as long as they can get away with it. Their industry is dying and as such they are becoming more desperate. This incident reveals nothing about the reality of the situation - good, bad or otherwise. Just be patient and give BM enough time to do what any other business does and plan their media strategy. Try and ignore the reactionary and sensationalist news stories for now.
