Good points guys. Yeah, we have been very good at keeping the ball in order to hold onto a slender lead late on in the european games come to think of it. But the long ball stuff has to stop unless it is being played properly. i.e. have a big player up top who can win the ball, flick it onto players who should be running off him into space, or who can bring it down, hold up the ball and then play someone in. Theres little point in winning the header and the ball goes out of play or back to the other team. A good team should be able to adapt their playing style easily in order to break down any defence. SO I don't mind trying the long ball in games where its difficult to spray the passes around on the deck.
