  1. He was my MOTM today by a country mile.

His work rate in both attack AND defence is outstandingly good. The amount of chances he's created, including the ones that haven' been converted are best in the league.

Also, never mind his personal contribution, let's not forget what he's done for Tavernier.  Without a doubt, Tav wouldn't be the player he currently is without Candeias input & all around work.

For me, the best buy the club has made this season & my choice for POTY.

  2. Thete was a bit early in 2nd half tonight where he ran from the half way line all the way back to our corner flag, he chased down the sheep Shagger, won the ball then launched another attsck.

He works his socks off, he' top of the stats table for chance creation but if love to see his stats in a defensive standpoint.

Guy behind me constantly criticises him, would love to ask his opinion now (Not there tonight)

Don't see the point really. Games against the league 2 cloggers (and subsidise them into the bargain), or games against the Bayerns, Liverpools etc. I think we should be collaborating with the bigger clubs from all over Europe instead of the dross of Scotland.

I imagine it' about competitive football.

Its great for the youth to be player the top tier teams but nothing beats competitive games.

I’m saying they can afford the luxury of that.

Can you tell me what having 200 seats for Folk to sit on does to improve the youth???? When it could’ve been spent on giving them more of the facilities they need.

No I can't but im pretty sure Craig Mulholland and his team would've been heavily consulted & involved in the design of this 'stand' and all its components, included the seating, and if they say it's beneficial, I suspect his knowlege is better than yours (& mine).

But they don’t step up idiot

Have you EVER listened to anything written by the youth staff, especially by Mullholland himself.

3 years ago they gutted the youth squad & essentially started again because they believed the quality wasn't there to 'step up'. Today's result in the next step in that new evolution .. idiot !

Another fucking brilliant result away in Europe against another top team

it annoys me why these boys can’t make the step up there’s a missing link somewhere

games like that make me proud as fuck to be a Rangers fan

That' the point of these games .. to make them able to take that step up.

A radical redraughting of our youth policy 3 yrs ago & is now showing real signs of producing some real quality prospects to fill the 1st team.

    As usual bullshit from you.

We didn’t criticise building facilities for the youth, we questioned why we needed the 200 seat stand when it could’ve spent on facilities solely for the youth players.

Again, the stadium (the one with all those stands) is purpose built for the youth team, are you saying Bayern have got it all wrong ?

  8. Amazing job done by both our players & our academy staff in getting this result.

There were folk in here who criticised the club for building a stand to help build a better youth system, while our opponents today have done the following to help thiers...

Monday brought a new milestone in FC Bayern's history with the official inauguration of the FC Bayern Campus in the north of Munich. The purpose of the new youth academy at Ingolstädter Strasse 272 is to help the German record champions “optimise the development of young talent,” according to Uli Hoeneß. Guests at the inauguration ceremony were addressed by the Bayern president, Bavarian Minister President Horst Seehofer, Mayor of Munich Dieter Reiter and Dr Rainer Koch, president of the Bavarian FA and vice-president of the German FA. Comedian Bruno Jonas also gave an entertaining eulogy.

"We see a chance to generate lots of success with this campus,” Hoeneß told around 300 invited guests and 100 journalists at the 30-hectare sports facility: “This campus will be another crucial foundation for the future of FC Bayern, another trademark of our club. Through clever tactics FC Bayern aim to train talents even better at this youth academy than at the Säbener Strasse training facility, which burst at the seams.” The Bayern president added: “The new FC Bayern Campus will also provide one answer to the current transfer madness and the explosion of salaries."

Hoeneß, standing on the podium between Minister President Seehofer and Mayor Reiter, cut a red ribbon to mark the official inauguration and thanked Allianz in his address. "We're happy our longstanding sponsor is also our partner for the Allianz FC Bayern Akademie, which is the academy building and the core of the facility." Hoeneß also thanked Karl Hopfner, the academy's "intellectual father," who oversaw the project from the planning stage to its completion.

Horst Seehofer spoke of a "very good day for FC Bayern and the Free State of Bavaria." The Bavarian Minister President declared: "This new campus completes FC Bayern's magic triangle along with the Säbener Strasse facility and the Allianz Arena. I congratulate our Bavarian figurehead. It's another milestone in FC Bayern's great history."

Mayor of Munich Dieter Reiter rates the new academy as "the right decision and investment in the future," adding that "FC Bayern will strengthen the importance of Munich as a sports centre with this flagship campus."

Dr Rainer Koch called the new FC Bayern Campus a "visible sign of the football of the future." The president of the Bavarian FA, who is responsible for the amateur branch of German football as vice-president of the German FA, added: "FC Bayern, one of 4,650 clubs in Bayern, invests in grassroots sport in an exemplary manner."

The new FC Bayern Campus, a €70 million project in terms of construction cost alone, was built in 22 months and commenced operations on 1 August 2017. The 30-hectare facility incorporates a sports hall for basketball, handball and table tennis, eight football pitches for youth teams from the U-9s to the U-19s and the women's and girls' teams, and a 2,500-capacity stadium, where the U-17s and the U-19s contest their Bundesliga matches. The Allianz FC Bayern Akademie, the academy building on the campus, comprises offices for coaches and staff as well as 35 apartments for talents who don't live in the Greater Munich area. Currently a staff of 75 work at the German record champions' youth academy at Ingolstädter Strasse 272, which is headed by Jochen Sauer and Hermann Gerland.

  9. Dear Member,

Following very positive discussions between the Union Bears and Club 1872 last year, the groups are now moving on to the next phase of our safe standing initiative. This stage will involve collecting the details of those interested in being located in a safe standing section at Ibrox.

Gauging the demand from supporters for safe standing is an important process as it will allow the groups to enter into meaningful dialogue with Rangers over the location, size and cost of such a section.

We would urge any supporters who are interested in taking up a season ticket in such a section, to enter their details via the form here.

This will be a crucial step in securing a safe standing section within our stadium. The information we gather will be passed to Rangers and verified against their database.

It is essential that supporters enter their Rangers number accurately to ensure their entry is counted.

The survey will remain open until 12th February 2018.

It should be noted by Club 1872 members that if it is established that there is sufficient demand for a safe standing section, any project funding undertaken by Club 1872 in this area will still be subject to a separate member vote.
