Playing for the Rangers carries more pressure than Morton... -
Barrie McKay to stay at Morton for the rest of the season
DarcheVinny replied to Adoniram's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Barrie is doing nothing in the U20s to justify a chance in the first team this season, purely based on what I've seen. A reality check at Morton could, combined with senior football could get him back in the right place for next season. Seriously lacks confidence any time I've seen him this term. -
Are our team being coached as opposed to trained?

It isn't nonsense. -

They are all extremely fit (no senior player has a body fat % over 10), as they should be for full-time players. We have qualified coaches in the team: McCulloch completes Pro Licence this year, and Wallace, A Licence. Personally, I don't see any evidence of players (excluding those in their teens etc) improving technically, or even coached and rehearsed tactics. Being extremely fit is a given. Jim Henry is definitely the man for the job. Give the coaching to Jig and Waldo for the week and I think we'd see a difference - new coaches, new ideas. -
Gobsmacked doesn't cover it, best wishes Brian

King: "The board need to find a rich idiot to fund the club in the same short-sighted way it has been run for 20+ years. PS. I'm not giving them a penny." Cheers, Dave.

Interview with Lee Wallace. Can you help?

Pressoffice@rangers.co.uk was an active email I'm sure. -
Just to be clear on yesterday for the drama Queens.

If it was your wages (if you were a player), would you feel like a cut had been proposed? -
Charles Green at his finest.

Remember when the Rangers signed the best young players in Scotland? Morton, Meiklejohn, Greig, Jardine...Struth and Symon had it all wrong. The answer lies in Cyprus. WE NEED A 5TH RIGHT BACK. WE NEED 40 PLAYERS TO PICK FROM.

Another slant on cheque book excuses.

What colours did the old Rangers play in? What stadium did the old Rangers play in? -
Expenditure and return, is the return justified.

If we had 'funny money' to spend, he would get away with it -

My opinion has not changed since last term. We need to find the right option when we have to challenge for the Premiership. We're running out of time. -

I just think he was allowed to waste so much money on wages, for players who weren't good enough, and then last summer he got to do it all over again. At some point the money-men need to accept responsibility if they let him continue like this each season? Please don't tell me KM is Kenny Miller So do you think Wallace would consider giving notice of termination...if say we don't reach latter stages of Scottish Cup, or drop further points on too many occasions? Or will a pay cut be enough to get McCoist another season? I was at Morecambe vs Fleetwood yesterday and the way the Rangers are playing...we couldn't beat either of them. I'd love to offer Jim Bentley or Graham Alexander 800k/year and £5-7million wage bill and see what they say! -

I don't know. Green and Mather let him sign who he wanted for as much as was necessary Responsibility lies with them and others above McCoist. Wallace seems to have made a good start, highlighting our most talented prospects, nut currently getting senior football, and getting them loan deals to continue to develop. Keen to see how he trims the rest of the first team. How does this rolling contract work? Could his contract be ended with notice...like at the end of the season? -

Do we have a board capable of ensuring their manager signs the right players...at the right price and on the right wages? Do we have a board capable of creating a sustainable Rangers, producing 2/3 first time ready youth products each season? If they can offer us a team of predominantly Auchenhowie produced players, dominating Scottish football on a wage bill below £5million/annum...we will have the right expenditure and return for our level, and thus, the right board The long-term success of the Rangers is not dependant on Mr McCoist. We can all see he is not the right manager for our current circumstances. But what do the board do? They can't afford his wages, nor can they afford to pay him off? When does McCoist's contract end? -
From what I have seen Gallagher is being held back by U20s matches. His performances are faultless and I've been wanting to see what he can do at senior level.
-
Excellent But the young ones are untouchable. Home grown players should be kept until 21. If they don't feature you send them on loan and sell when they've got senior experience.
-
To answer the hardest player rather than dirtiest, anyone I have spoken to who played with Harry Davis, said he was the hardest player. When you read his amazing book, you'll know why. Legend.

FC Utd have done very well for themselves. Fair play.

Wallace did OK. Not bad for a player who was booed by plenty of Tartan Army in the West Stand.

Rangers must improve their scouting network quickly

I cannot agree more with that article. We have a serious problem that will leave us a decade behind Celtic if we don't fix it now. -
what a story. No. Kenny can't get a game at Whitecaps any more because Camilo (winner of the MLS Golden Boot 2013) and Kekuta Manneh (18 year old Gambian born US adoptee wonderkid, who's reportedly being monitored by Arsenal) are the front 2. Regardless of who signed him, he has no future at the club with Camilo, Manneh and Mattocks in front of him.
