  1. I'm just happy to get the one ticket! Although didn't really enjoy it there on the 28th Dec....
  2. I don't have a problem with the current system. I am a season ticket holder and member of cccs. I then also tick the away games box and usually get 5 away tickets. That is plenty for me from an affordability point of view. Does the fact that everyone who ticks the box for away games seems to get one piggery ticket, not mean that everyone is getting a fair shot at going? Perhaps I'm missing something from a Supporters Club perspective as I go independently?
  3. I agree they wouldn't drop that low but it would reduce HMRC share and maybe force their hand to accept xpence in the pound. ie less pence in the pound that they might otherwise accept and therefore Whyte has maybe improved the deal that Rangers get down the line.
  4. I suppose we'll find out everyone's motives this year at least, fed up waiting tbh
  5. I never said it was 100% but if fans were to know what the money would be used for and sales looked likely to half then HMRC's hand might be forced. It's only a portion if season ticket sales hold up at current levels.
  6. Ok, i thought I had read Whyte saying 3 years. Must have imagined it.
  7. Yeah I know what you mean but I'm just hoping he has his reasons in order to protect Rangers' future
  8. Maybe if it was clear that after the first portion, money would simply be going straight to HMRC then season ticket sales would drop significantly? They might then be forced to accept a deal from Whyte...
  9. I apologise if people think there are numerous similar threads.... Anyway I have resisted criticising Craig Whyte since he bought the club as I don't think we know what his tactics are and don't think he really can tell us just now. In terms of the tax case does it not seem like he is protecting our assets from creditors should we have to go into administration? Season Ticket Money for next 3 years - mortgaged off Catering Receipts - has this not been mortgaged off in some way? Merchandising - JJB deal obviously Now should we go into administration perhaps he would be in position to convince HMRC to accept some sort of deal? Perhaps he could offer them around £18m, the debt he committed to writing off after the tax case was resolved. This would involve him finding the cash to pay HMRC but if he could afford to write it off then hopefully he could source it and just not write off the amount due back to him by Rangers. It's not like HMRC could keep Rangers in administration and soak up the season ticket sales if they have been mortgaged off. Selling assets like the stadium would leave the club homeless unless leased back and would they really obtain that much for it to make it more worthwhile than coming to agreement with Whyte? Again we don't have many players that would bring in much cash in a fire sale. IMO he must have a plan but if it's similar to above he can't really talk about it openly as it would harm his positioning in any future negotiations. I'm just speculating and wondering what other people's thoughts are?
  10. Thanks for posting. Unbelievable how different the outlook is today compared to then.
  11. When he was up for it (not often) he was great. His Celtic Park performance was brilliant!
  12. Thanks I would have hoped for some more prospects in the u19's etc instead of bringing in players already 18ish from abroad. But maybe you go through peaks and troughs and some of the younger groups hold the potential.
  13. Hmmmm yeah well that's true! Re U21 team and who would actually push for a start in the Rangers team. Maybe sometimes there is too much emphasis on individual teams youth setups, one player a season from youths who can hold down a first team spot is perhaps a good return.
  14. Mental ain't it! I am holding judgement on Craig White but the one thing which infuriates me is when he mentions wages and the funding gap. They are basics and things he would know at the time he bought Rangers.... yet in the summer he agrees to commit a MASSIVE chunk of our resources to a decent player. Surely if we need to cut back, the only players getting 20+k would be any almost irreplaceable type players such as Naismith. You ain't gonna tell me we couldn't find a cheapish alternative to Whittaker if he had left!
  15. Top players or not, we should be able to attract more youngsters who could get in a weak first team for a fee games. However there aren't many u19's knocking on the door.
  16. If that's accurate that is a concern. Celtic seemed to target a renowned talent spotter from Hibs and we possibly give jobs to people with no track record in scouting?
  17. Seen nothing in him? Are you a scout for Rangers? Might explain the lack of potential stars in the u19's!
  18. This. I still rate him highly at centre back, he had a good game at Celtic Park when he played there.
  19. He isn't a right back, he's trying to do a job for the team after being asked to play out of position. I'll judge him if he gets games in the centre of defence. At Celtic park at centre back he had a good game, think it was the last time he played there.
  20. The U12's at half time today looked like they could actually use a ball properly! We must train it out of them!
  21. I agree in general that Walter and Ally haven't given youngsters much of a chance in the past. But sometimes it's good to blood them and then rest them ie not to put all the teams expectations on them. Bendiksen left but if he really wanted to make it at Rangers he could have stayed I think. He had been injured for a long time and was gradually getting closer to the first team involvement. 6 weeks after beginning to get a chance, he's off. His choice.
