any  one remember the boys gate? it was in the left side of this pic. 2 boys gates for the whole park and abou 8 adult gates ,the boys gate was tucked in the corner behind the adult gates if it was a big game it was a nightmare to get in.but we made it ,wonder if the gate would be called boys today  the girls would moan about it prob. demonstrate no girls gate. p.s dont think there was suh a thing as a female toilet..oh dear.

looking at that pic brings back a  old firm game ,cant mind the date but mid week summer night latec 60,s if any of our mates got seperated we always arranged to meet at the second upright on the left  so there i am standing right on the pillar  the cover had,nt been put on ,my mates were about 10 ft away at 1/2 time i hear a roar and look up theres a guiy walking up on the steel work no fears he then goes right out to the higfhest bit at the edge and decides to swing on the steel work the crowd was like an old silent movie a big spae would open up under where he was getting encouragement from the bears ,after a bit the teams were kept back till the cops got him don,anyway does he not go to the pillar i was leaning on an slide down he it but when he lande he was next to me and the pollice fighting to gat at him he was steaming ,ok but whe they grabbed him some bright guy lobbed a bottle at thje cops all hell broke loose the bears trying to get him away but the the law won ,just a bit h.t entertainment.
