  1. Vancouver RSC renewed both theirs in the Copland Front. Have my own 2 which go to family and disadvantaged kids as well so add another 4.
  2. Don't care who we get tbh just that we beat each team all the way through
  3. With the fixtures we have at the beginning of the season we need 2-3 games against teams that play at a high tempo. IF they are going to do another North American West coast swing then we need to be playing the LA Galaxy, San Jose Quakes, Portland Timbers, Seattle Seahawks and Vancouver Whitecaps. Not the dross we played against last year. It was nothing but a bluidy holiday and that then continued through the season. We were in no way prepared to play and beat Hearts first game of last season. However we now have a REAL manager, so hope these days are gone.
  4. This the response from Jim Hannah this morning,, and to add my own wee bit well done Bears and Vets. Shows once again who we are why we are and how we are. Kudos to every person who showed up to remember this incredible man. There are lone Rangers but no Ranger ever is alone.... WATP.... "What a truly humbling day, what a tribute to an old soldier who was part of the veterans family and also part of the Rangers Family. Alex McDougall you would have been really proud of the fantastic turn out at your funeral today. Rangers Fans from all over including Lyndsey Sharp, fans from Derby Stoke Corby Glasgow and further afield, there was veterans wearing their medals far too many to count. Colour parties from 5 different regiments, the navy, the RAF the Marines, Captains, Majors, the local firemen, pipers and buglers who played the last post as the standard bearers lowered their flags. I was choked and not ashamed to say I shed a tear it wS a beautiful service. Well done to all who helped and thank you to everyone who turned up for an old bluenose Soldier Alex McDougall, God Rest your Soul x" Jim Hannah
  5. If we are going to survive long term we need to go from buying players to DEVELOPING players. This is why Warburton and Weir were brought in. 2 may be 3 more signings in the lead in to the season. And speaking of which no more North American tours playing against semi-pro teams, Pre-season needs to have matches against skilled teams that play at a high tempo. North America last year was a holiday that continued well into the season.
  6. mmm, would this agreement with Sports Scotland not fall under a contract with the Old Co. ? Meaning it has no relevance to the club at the present time. if transfer fees for Jelavic etc have come under auspicies of the old co then this must surely do so a well. Seems like a half researched story by a tarrier loving journalist AGAIN,
  7. Really enjoyed that Jules, he is lambasted for lack of pace but he beat a few there in runs to get to a ball.
  8. Well they are TOLD what the gospel is from cradle to grave, so little surprise that they believe everything they are told.
  9. He was better than he got credit for at times. This video also shows the goal against the scum was not a fluke. I have met Bert a few times and yes he is a complete gentleman and loved his time at Rangers. Jules again thank you.
  10. Thanks friends, No Bear or British Soldier should ever pass on without fellow Bears and squadies there to mark the passing. RIP Alex another proud bear to sit in Blue Lodge.
  11. Got this from Jim Hannah this morning I know it may be a big ask but this fellow deserves a decent sent off. If you can make it, it will once more show why WATP. Hi everyone below is the story about Alex McDougall, a life-long Rangers fan and former soldier. His care home say apart from a handful of care home staff there will be no one at his funeral, at Bramcote Crematorium at 3.45pm this Friday, and are asking for people to attend. Particularly Rangers fans and military people or veterans. I was wondering if anyone from the club could provide a quote about how sad this is and urging Rangers fans to support their fellow fan? If Rangers could maybe retweet the story once it’s online, that could also be a big help. An appeal has been launched to urge mourners to attend the funeral of a former soldier who has no known family. Alex McDougall served his country for 30 years - being shot at and almost starving to death on meagre rations. Mr McDougall, who passed away aged 77 on June 8, was "married to the job" and has no known relatives or friends - which has led to an appeal for mourners to attend his funeral. Staff from Beeston Lodge Nursing Home, where he lived for 18 years, are appealing for anyone with a link to Chetwynd Barracks or the military in general to go along to the service, at Bramcote Crematorium at 3.45pm this Friday. And as Mr McDougall was a huge Rangers FC fan - his ashes will be scattered at Ibrox Stadium and he will be buried in a Rangers fleece blanket - they would also like fellow team fans to pay their respects. Anyone else is welcome to help give Mr McDougall a fitting send-off. Aisha Morrell, activities and welfare manager at the home in Beeston Rylands, knew Mr McDougall, a jazz fan, for five years and had grown fond of him. She said: "He has no living family and no friends we are aware of so it is unlikely anyone will be at his funeral. He was very much married to the job. "He served his country, and he was such a nice man. It doesn't seem any way for a send-off." Mr McDougall served with the Army in Scotland as a youngster, but moved to Beeston when he was 21, signing up at Chetwynd Barracks. His parents died in a car crash when he was young. He was a gunner and toured Cyprus and Portugal. Care home staff are looking into the possibility he may have been awarded the British Empire Medal. Ms Morrell said Mr McDougall, a "very proud man" who suffered from dementia and died from cancer, had told her tales of playing pranks on his Army colleagues. She has tried appeals on military pages on social media to no avail. Home manager Bev Hamilton said: "I just feel like he deserves some sort of a send-off. His life was the Army. He was very popular within the home. He didn't have any visitors but when other people came to see their relatives he was always friendly. "I kept him up to-date with the football scores. He was a lovely chap and such a big character."
  12. Haven't been this excited and optimistic about a new season since the signing of Souness as the manager. Just as back then the club needed to go in a different direction, and as Souness was then Warburton is now. Just pray he does not do a Souness and fuck off after a year and a bit.
  13. He appears to not only be a decent footballer but also an intelligent one, he is a younger clone of his new coach, SDoW.
  14. His attitude is let other teams worry about us not the other way round, a bit of arrogance that was sadly missing from McCoist. Brentford could have been a bit more solid in defense last season often taking too high a line making them vulnerable to fast counter attacks
  15. While many want a hint from Warburton I like his style and demeanor of being respectful of the process and other potential candidates. But FFS King/Murray get this done Monday.
  16. Gorham Jardine Numan Baxter McCoist. Sub Laudrup Manager Souness Edited as I had inadvertently pulled a Moscow Dynamo.
  17. TBH I am more worried if he does not come now. Also we are kidding ourselves on if we think at the present time we are that much above an English Championship team and yes I include the scum in that analogy as well. TV monies have ruined the game just as they were predicted to. Here is another revelation for you, the North American League is already on par with anything in Europe outside the La Liga, Serie A, Bundisliga, EPL and Ligue 1 and I will not be surprised if in 2-3 years it is knocking off some of those as well. All rooted in TV monies.
  18. Well it is easier to hit Ally on the arse than it is to hit McCulloch on the head.
  19. McCall or even McInnes are going to be HUGE let downs, but I guess another 48 hrs as long as it does not become another then another 48hrs, the management team need to have their feet under desks Monday and start working.
  20. I can just see warburton sitting in the directors box smacking Cathro on the back of the head to tell him to go down and tell Weir to make a sub and change the formation.
  21. Biggest part of that is the shares that they have bought not monies that went directly into RFC
  22. So another 48 hrs where have we heard this before?
