  1. I thought Hearts were a disgrace today and deserved what they got. They kicked our players everytime they got the ball and i hope that Jelavic isn't seriously injured and can come back after the international break at full fitness. Horrible cunts the Hearts player, when they were winning they stayed down for ages and Obua ripped the piss when he was lying right next to the edge of the pitch and didn't roll off. Justice done!
  2. Lafferty was in his main position today and in the 15 minutes he was on he did more than Miller in my opinion. Now I'm not saying he is better as Miller is our main man but some days it just doesn't go for you and Lafferty is direct and a big target to hit and he could have had two if it hadn't been for a great save. Credit to him for doing the business when he gets his chance, lets hope Beattie does the same.
  3. Yeah i agree, i think we will do fine too and that was the point i was trying to make but failing to. There will be bumps but come the end of the season i think we will be champions. That's why its important to accept that we might hiccup and not to get on the teams back too much.
  4. The coming month of football could prove to be pivotal in our season. We have a champions league game with Valencia which could make our break our push for the last 16 and we have to go to Parkhead in which could be the game where one of the Old Firm drop points for the first time. We also have games against Hearts and Kilmarknock away while Motherwell and Inverness. November gets no easier with some massive games in the Champions League and away to Dundee United and Home to Aberdeen and Hibs followed by the conclusion of the champions league in the middle of December. My point is that we will NOT still be undeafeted come Christmas time but it won't be the end of the world. We are on such a high after a great start to the season but as the games pile in and the pressure mounts and we start drawing a game or two and perhaps suffer defeat in the Champions League games it will be important to not turn on the players. Everyone who has been on this forum for a while knows that even after a draw in the SPL it's "Walter out" and "Lafferty should never play for us again" and "Miller is back to his usual shite" etc. A season in football is a marathon not a sprint so keep behind the team and we will be repayed. (p.s the above was written on a fairly accurate assumtion we will drop points, if we win the rest of the games from now and Christmas I will streak at New Years OF game).
  5. The guy deserves some praise as he gets a lot of criticism when things don't go well. He's an easy guy to blame when things go badly but he has been a great servant to the club and has put in a tremendous amount of work over the past few years. His fitness is outstanding and i can't wait for him to grab his first goal for the Rangers. People also forget that he was a centre back before he joined Rangers and has had to adapt to playing right back so his passing and crossing won't be as sharp as someone who has played full back all their life.
  6. Hearts come back from 2-0 down and 10 men to lead 3-2.
  7. Billy Boys getting belted out at Ibrox now. Love it. Go on Lafferty.
  8. For people who have a stream... Is Lafferty playing up front as a striker or on the left wing? If he is upfront then it's a really strong case for him to play in his stronger position more often. I know we know how Miller, Jelavic and Beattie but he is a good player when he gets upfront like we saw in his first season before injury.
  9. Thanks man, should've done my research before posting
  10. Beattie has got to be hurting. Hopefully the manager has told him he needs to get in shape fast before he can get back in the team.
  11. Lafferty has scored the league winning goal in both the seasons he has been here. Thats HOF form.
  12. I totally disagree about Whittaker. I think that he makes fantastic attacking runs and is always a threat going forward. Okay he missed a 1 on 1 today and put in a bad cross in a good position but his running and tackling was good today. Just wasn't his day for final balls but sometimes it happens. Still a massive player for us. My man of the match of the match is Bougherra though. In the first half he made some crucial stops.
  13. Love how Miller was pointing to his friend in the crowd or something when he scored and Jelavic just copied Miller lol. Probz not a clue what was going on.
  14. Jelavic is better than that. Got to get his header on target.
  15. I know, they have a horrible 'Soccer Saturday' thing going on that is murder to the ears. Awful banter between the presenter and reporters.
  16. How stupid can they be? They are writing a formal letter of complaint but they refer to us as 'Scotland's Shame FC'. All credibility goes straight out the window there, e-mail deleted. Thanks for wasting 10 mins of your life ya soap dodger.
  17. Can Jelavic speak English? Never heard him speak before and it could be a factor into him settling in?
  18. Love how it was Motherwell who fucked Bellamy on Helicopter Sunday and then as soon as he joins his boyhood team they try and wind them up for good. Class.
  19. On the SSN website, Bain is quoted as saying he will be in Glasgow within 24 hours to have a medical but on the SSN ticker that goes along the bottom of the screen, Rapid say he will not join Rangers. Don't know what to believe.
  20. Everyone seems super confident of him signing now. I don't think i have seen any reliable source which would give anyone that opinion but i'll be delighted if the deal goes ahead.
  21. You know how Sky Sports News has a bar down the right hand side of the screen and it goes through every premierships ins and outs? Earlier in the summer a lot of the fees for players were just labelled as undisclosed but i've noticed lately that a lot of them now how values and Manchester United caught my eye.... £6m for Hernandez (looks a good deal, wonder goal at weekend ) but £10m for Smalling, that's nuts. I'm not saying SSN is wrong but that is a ridiculous fee. Shows the difference in them and us when we can't afford much over £4m per player.
  22. People are saying that Rangers should give up and move onto other transfer targets but i think we are right to stick at this deal for as long as it takes. I really think Jelavic would be an outstanding signing and just what we need. There is no rush in terms of the window closing as we have 3 weeks. As frustrating as it is we should be patient. Would be nice to have him at the start of the season but the league isn't won or lost then and i think we have the players to get by Kilmarknock, Hibs etc until Jelavic hopefully comes and starts banging them in
  23. I want to go to Munich during the October fest which i think is in September lol. So Bayern Muncih away during that period would be lovely.
  24. Given the size of our squad we have, even if we add a few extra players in before September 1st, I think that the upcoming campaign is going to be one of the hardest we have had in a long, long time. Celtic have bought so many players that they have 2 players for every position almost and although i believe we are better man for man, this could lead to problems in the long run due to our inevitable injuries and suspensions. I like to follow trends and the last decade or so shows that the old firm team that does the best in Europe tends to lose the league title. (When either team has got into last 16 of champions league they have lost the league that year. When both teams got to Uefa Cup final we lost the league that year). We are guaranteed to be playing European football up to Christmas, maybe longer. Celtic could be out sooner if they lose to Braga and then the Europa League qualifier that they would be dumped into. We need European football for the finances and to attract better players but does anyone feel that the strain it places on the squad could hamper the quest for 3IAR?
