  1. Good to see John Fleck playing more centrally. He is much happier with options to pass the ball rather than being isolated out on the wing. Doesn't have the trickery for wing play imo but is more accomplished in the middle of the pitch. ala Charlie Adam.
  2. A man died at a Texas Rangers baseball game last night when he fell over the barrier and down 20 feet after trying to catch a baseball. He was at the game with his young kid. Such a horrible incident Go to 8 seconds on the video below
  3. Congratulations to Kenny Miller who scored more goals in half a season than the "Celtic superstars" scored in a full season. On top of that, Jelavic had the best goals to game ratio. Brilliant day for Bears all over.
  4. Me and a few of my mates are going to Abercrombie bar (Old Stadia) up Union Street to watch it. I think it'll have both games on and we are fancying a mixed crowd for more banter.
  5. According to BBC sport St Johnstone had 67% possesion. I know quality of possesion is more important but that is astonishing.
  6. A side note on Whittaker not being a good RB, i thought he was handy at centre midfield today. He looks for a forward pass more than McCulloch and Edu do.

    Edu

Say what you like about Mo Edu, he loves a last minute winner from 1 yard out against teams that wear green and white hoops.
  8. Definately agree with this deal if it was possible. So much talent in the Championship that we could use if we had some money. Not in the Championship yet but might be by next season i'd like to see us try buy Simon Cox from West Brom. Someone else mentioned Williams from Swansea being touted by bigger clubs but it shows there is plenty of talent to be found in the league.
  9. There is a charity dinner for the Erskine Hospital on the 1st April in Aberdeen, Copthorne Hotel and Johnny Hubbard is a guest speaker along with Donald Finley QC. I'll be there
  10. I heard Fernando Torres' move to Chelsea has fallen through after his wife failed to agree terms with John Terry.
  11. Poor throw out by Alexander, Davis had no chance.
  12. It all depends how we set out. If we are cautious that Inverness have a good away record and play timidly then we may struggle. If we realise we are much better than them and they are there for the taking then it should be an easy 3 points. I'd also be happy to see Cole play at RB again if Whittaker is out.
  13. Bonus that it's on BBC2. Love a bit of giro telly football. Hopefully Birmingham win over 2 legs though and beat Arsenal in the final.
  14. We need to start 4-4-2 and attack teams from the off with a higher line than we usually play. When we attack teams they can't handle us but unfortunately we just drop off too much and invite pressure.
  15. Everytime i've heard John Hughes talk he talks with dignity and respect. When he was manager of Hibs he allows gave us respect in his post match interviews. In terms of being a manager though? Maybe for a mid table SPL team he'd be okay.
  16. You said you knew 3 people in the list and you are a youth coach for an SPL side. By any chance is it Motherwell? Seeing as they have 3 players in that list...Humphrey, Reynold and Hatelely. Just playing Detective.
  17. The thing that annoyed me most about Weiss today was his free kick he took at the end of the first half when we put players in the box and he just blasted it 2 metres above everyones head and out for a goal kick (throw in possibly). That showed a lack of team play, intelligence and i just wanted him to get the fuck off the pitch after that.
  18. Number 1: Ok I know there is a running joke of people calling Weiss the fall guy but number 1 is Weiss should play either on the right wing, through the middle just behind the striker that we RARELY do see, or not get anywhere near the pitch. Number 2: Weiss and Papac should never be allowed near a set piece. Both of them are horrible. Papac has hit 1 good free kick for us in his time at Rangers and that was v Valencia at home that went over the bar. Weiss took a shot from a free kick on the by-line today. Sums it up for me. I know Davis isn't perfect but he should be over every set piece. Number 3: Never play 1 up front vs an SPL team except away to Celtic. Ok Inverness are on a good run but they are still far inferior to us (or are they?) If we played like we did in the second half we would have easily have won that game. I dont think playing 4-1-4-1 vs an SPL team is acceptable. Feel free to add your own or criticize mine but i think i sum it up well. I'd like to add another one actually...STOP PLAYING A DEEP LINE. Ok Weir is as slow as a week in jail but with Foster Bougherra and Papac i'm sure someone could catch up with a through ball. Yet when we sit just outside our 18 yard box like we did in first half today, the opposition is all over us and looks like Arsenal as all their players have space to pass into.
  19. The 5-4-1 should be used against elite teams like Man Utd. and Valenca. Burcaspor are about as good as Celtic, if not worse. They'd probably finish 3rd in the SPL. Now we went away to Parkhead with 4-5-1 and attacked well, scored goals whilst also defending pretty well too. No reason we can't do that in Europe against good teams who aren't quite elite.
  20. How long is he going to be out for? Will he be back soon?
  21. What i would say is tonight showed the difference between Premiership and SPL. Miller is known as a fast player in the SPL, but tonight he had a mini race v Carrick and Carrick won at a canter. Carrick isn't even known as one of the speed merchants in the Utd team but the physical level of prem teams is so much more impressive than of the SPL.
  22. I'm still happy with Miller leading the line in the SPL for us but he just has a CL monkey on his back that makes him miss a lot of good chances, especially over the three home games. Very greedy tonight, just like at the weekend v Kilmarknock. Disappointed he didn't pass. An assist is just as valuable a goal.
  23. Make no mistake this game will NOT be easy. Valencia are a good side and obviously so are Man U, that is why they both beat them home and away. We beat them at Ibrox in a pretty average game, didn't play them off the pitch or anything. They are still the turkish champions and imo are favourites to beat us on their own patch. Will not be an easy game.
