  1. With that open goal miss, it might just be destiny that Madrid end up winning the whole thing
  2. Will be jumping for joy if he does get pushed. It's been a long time coming, the standard of football has been dire for three years now, including some embarrassing losses last year and this year. He has to go
  3. Bayern should do the job in Munich. Barcelona in a bit of trouble though
  4. I like avb, I honestly think he's got so much potential as a coach. The Chelsea move was a bit too soon for him, and unfortunately he was never going to get The time Jose will be afforded this reign. Tottenham were unlucky last season in terms of cl football and he paid price this season. He will come back stronger and manage one of the elite clubs in the future. Ps I bet he regrets not talking to psg this season now.
  5. Shaping up to be a really good last 8. Dortmund are already there basically. Olympiakos still have work to do, wouldn't be surprised if man u turned it round. Bayern and Madrid look the stand outs so far, bayern possibly just edging it at moment.
  6. Madrid were quality. Difficult to see past them or bayern this year. Think bayern would just edge it though as they will get chance to rest players earlier due to the league situations. Also think bayern just shade madrids defensive capabilities which is vital in latter rounds
  7. Man city for league Man u will sneak fourth Cardiff, palace and west ham to go down Madrid for la liga Bayern just edging real Madrid for cl
  8. Mata officially signs for man united. 37.1 million reported fee
  9. Alaba should be in instead of alves (shocking decision) Dante also instead of Ramos Schweinsteiger/Martinez/pirlo/Vidal/toure over xavi also. Just seems xavi gets there because of past achievements and great career like a lot of that team as opposed to their form over the year.
  10. stage one of my accumulator came up today with Man U , Leverkusen and Munich winning Just waiting on Napoli, Juve and Athleico tomorrow to hopefully win
  11. Russia already destroyed it lol with conceding n last min, bet rest of them come up
  12. Tenner with an extra fiver coming from sky so 15 all together , think Belgium and Switzerland could cost me
  13. Put on a 12 fold accumulator slightly ambitous for international week backed Belgium to beat Wales Greece to beat Leichtenstein Ireland to beat Kazakstan Denmark to beat Malta Hungary to beat Andorra Romania to beat Estonia Switzerland to beat Slovenia Azerbaijan to lose to Russia Portugal to beat Luxembourg San Marino to lose to Ukraine Spain to beat Georgia France to beat Finland Get about 100 back if it comes off doubt it though
  14. Arsenal generally always tend to start the season quite well with exception of last season. They have fallen away past 8 seasons nothing has suggested otherwise will happen this season again.
  15. Seeing as the last thread got some decent replies was thinking of a Dream XI. The Criteria of this: - Players never to be capped by their country - Can be past or present (although they now must be unlikely to receive a cap in the remainder of their career) Stefan Klos Jose Enrique Steve Bruce Dominic Matteo Carlos Cuellar Thorsthen Fink Mikel Arteta Dean Holdsworth Paolo Di Canio Ailton Dario Hubner This one is quite tough cant even think of subs off the top of my head
  16. Just an idea to see how potentially popular it is to do some threads asking people for their Dream XI based on certain criterias. Might be a laugh looking back at these in a few years time So for starters i was thinking: All players must be over 30 And must still be playing Try to base on current form Should lead to some debate (hopefully lol) This is mine: Gianluigi Buffon Ashley Cole Nemanja Vidic Andrea Barzalgi Darijo Srna Yaya Toure Xabi Alonso Franck Ribery Robin Van Persie Di Natale Zalatan Ibrahimovic subs: Iker Casillas Martin Demichellis Frank Lampard Andrea Pirlo David Villa So feel free to post your own
  17. Dunno if its been mentioned but Milos Krasic joined Bastia from Fenerbache on a season long loan. I really rated him a couple of years ago, things mustve went downhill
  18. Guillem Balague has revealed how Arsenal missed out on signing Spanish international David Villa for potentially as little as 2.3m euros. The 31-year-old joined Atletico Madrid from Barcelona this summer as he brought to an end his three-year stay at the Nou Camp. Balague told Revista that Arsenal tried to sign the player in January but failed to follow up that interest when Barcelona were eager to offload the forward this summer Villa was largely restricted to appearances off the bench in his final season at the Nou Camp as he made his way back from a broken leg, which kept him out of the game for eight months. And this, Balague suspects, was what deterred Arsene Wenger from making another bid for the player. "In January Arsenal came and offered a four-year deal, about 20m euros, and some money for Barcelona. Barcelona said they were not selling," Balague told Revista. "So I think that David Villa, who took his kids to a British school, expected Arsenal to come back but they didn't, because they saw that David Villa in the last six months was not happy and wasn't playing well, and they probably thought he is not what he was. "Atletico Madrid came in and they got a deal for 2.5m euros - that is all for the first year. If he stays for three years it is 4.6m euros. Why so cheap? I found out that Barcelona have a first option on [18-year-old Atletico midfielder] Oliver Torres. "Now if Atletico fans find out about that they might not be happy but it is one way of Barcelona saying they are getting rid of a big wage and getting a first option on this guy, and let go someone who was not happy either." Villa, who has replaced successful striker Radamel Falcao at Atletico, started their 3-1 victory over Sevilla and Terry Gibson hopes he can regain his best goal-scoring form this season. "If you are going to try to get a replacement for Falcao - and it goes without saying his success at Atletico Madrid - David Villa is as good as you are going to get. "I think they got him for a good price. I think he needs dusting down, get his sharpness back and become used to playing again in that position that he started in the other night - in the middle of attack. "That is the old David Villa who played for Valencia and Zaragoza, and that we want to see. At Barcelona he played wider on the left. I am hoping he really gets back to enjoying his football and playing in his favourite position again."
  19. Just seen in sky sports news article he was very complimentary about us and admitted he would still rather be here than at crystal palace
