Agree about Ferdinand. He's looked awful at times.

I've only just heard that CG is leaving, Bad news in my opinion. Very bad news. When Rangers needed decisive and effective leadership to pull our Club away from the brink of oblivion he provided it. When our Club needed to be defended or when it was necessary to promote its interests CG provided it. When our Club needed effective dynamic communications between those who run our Club and Supporters CG provided it. When it was necessary to deal firmly with the media CG did it. When there was a need to generate very substantial funds to get our Club back to good financial health and to set in place arrangements to manage our Club's finances on a sensible and 'live within means' basis CG led the way, forced the pace and delivered. When it came to leading from the front to push ahead with commercial ventures to generate wealth for our Club CG provided the driving force. When there was a need to say it as it was, warts and all, imperfections and all, CG was not afraid to speak his mind.
There is no-one, absolutely no-one I can think of at CEO calibre level who would have had the executive experience, intellect, nous, drive, determination, and firepower to have achieved so much for our Club in such a short time and in such desperate times. I can still think of no-one, absolutely no-one who would be anywhere near in the same league as Charles Green to lead our Club going forward. The Board can advertise all they like, and can offer a salary and share package better than the package Charles was on, but if anyone can put forward a name that would take the CEO baton from Charles and operate at anywhere remotely near his level of performance then I will be utterly amazed. That's another way of saying I now think that any progress at pace on the pitch and off the pitch has taken a severe dent. CL football for our Club now seems to me to be far away without the quality of leadership that CG provided. Just how our Club will expect to sell massive amounts of season tickets for next season against this backcloth and against the sorts of performances on the pitch that have been seen recently will be a challenge and a half for a Board that is largely anonymous and which, imo, has no leadership people of anywhere near the calibre of CG. I'd love to be proved wrong on this.
If a Board ever needed to step up to the mark then this is time. Behaving as though this is routine business with anodine statements and lack of visible leadership will be a strong indicator to me that those Directors whose heads are held well below the parapet and are not out there with boots on the ground visibly standing up for our Club and promoting the interests of our Club and defending the interests of Rangers effectively and with authority in front of the media can start to pack their bags now in my opinion.
I'm old enough to remember some dark times at our Club. Last year was very bad and I took a lot of encouragement from what I believed was a top quality executive team at our Club. Right now, and maybe its just the initial reaction, I do wonder if those times are about to be repeated. I hope not and much will now depend on who Rangers appoints as a replacement CEO.
Who's next to go I wonder. Is Jim T still with our Club? Have any other Directors gone or about to go? Any non-exec Directors gone or about to go? Maybe the mole who is leaking stuff will have more to say. Time that mole was identified and asked to resign.

As expected the usual suspect players got another run out and delivered another rank performance
Neil Mc Cann at half time summed up exactly how negative we are
as why we had five defenders checking out a lone striker ?
Our Midfield has no one prepared to run with the ball at players they are happy passing back
Last week was our wake up call and to see ally smiling after we scored a penalty
and thinks its acceptable what message is that to give to his players
that all is rosie in the garden - he should be as angry as last week and barking out to the team
    for more effort.
I honestly think his time at a manager his running out -we are a shambles
and today we learned the players and management arent up to it.sadly

Yeah very true we sometimes play lol we have noone else but we do have some other yiungsters. Watching the game at cambuslang pre session I saw some great young talent and though the future looks bright (and orange) lol,
I think he should perhaps give them a chance give andy Mitchell a go, can't so much worse than some played today, give youth a go

To be honest - i havent looked back at other posts so its my view maybe the best way to do this
On the football front and under coisty its a mixed bag.
Looking at the big picture he has had to endure through like all of us
the uncertainty and all the crap spouted from all sources no other rangers boss ever had to contend with!
So some slack has to be given for his loyalty and honesty in the role of a rangers boss
no other manager in our history has had to .
I watch our performaces with dismay at times and the big time signings ally - they are the problem
I was so pleased to see our youngsters Fraser Aird , Barry mc Kay , Lewis Mc Leod
that they out perform their elders time and time again.
Message to Ally you do NOT need the big so called signings to progress
We had the youngsters to progress Fraser Aird and young Kane Hemmings
get these guys back and you have nothing to loose by doing so.
If mr Black and shields and templeton arent happy with that - the club is bigger than their wages.
they are playing in a lower league than the were playing at ! so they should be like a ferarri in a lada shop .

Sandaza ,s performance today was really encouraging to see he deserved a goal
but he must take great confidence from today and nice to see him appreciate & applaud back the fans.
We seem to be more free flowing when ian black isnt in the team
and i will acknowledge he played well himself individually last time out but the team didnt ?
Lewis was struggling first half but improved in the second half
good result and credit to berwick who made a game of it from 3-0 down.

This may be sentimental but isnt it fantastic that we have match day threads
In our darkest hours theses threads were a million miles away
We should take a step back look back and appreciate that we are -playing football on the pitch and off it
Ibrox has had record attendances in the third division
    the manager is mr rangers
the young players are getting games and at times outshining the bought players
We are top of the league and beat motherwell (spl) to knock them out a cup.
I will moan like the rest we need to start away from home make a mark
lets start this on sunday and once templeton and little are fit we are going to hit form.

Im amazed as obviously some fellow bears to abuse young Barry Mc Kay who unlike
8 other fellow players actually tried to contribute something.
Through time one thing I have learned supporting rangers the scots lads even if they were
aged 5 year old they are the scapegoats
Never the foreigners who that french full back faure my son aged 21 could play better than that in an local leagues
I was worried when we had this transfer ban and the window to bring players in
and at rangers it never works never has never will.
We had to use hutton and perry and ness last season and they did the buisness
Perry is back but he is shot of confidence when he played last season he should have
been kept in the team - but wasnt .
Its not working whatever we are trying to do - but we have lost alot of players at once
and we have to find teamwork to win games and that is to play as one .
We can guarantee big lee will put in a shift and the goalie
the rest today we are hoping - and thats the problem.

David Templeton in a rangers strip due to his age his ability and well done super ally
you have taken some flak - why ? - i havent got a f*** clue eitheir the players once on the pitch
have a duty to deliver last week they didnt.
You have taken us through as a young manager hell & back
but the bums on seats at a game v Elgin City surpassing the english champions man city
ESPN have given us great exposure and tomorrow will be another day
that our fans show by having a bigger crowd than the english champions
we are one of the biggest teams in world football and rightly so.

After watching celtic (barcelona) last week i would put aluko on the wing v charlie mulgrew
he was torn to shreds v kilmarnock
He was a liablity and his confidence will be to pieces if aluko can get on his case
I hope coisty watched the video .
To be honest both defences are not brilliant and goian needs to get back to his early season form tomorrow.
