On a somewhat related note, Iain Black is training with Berwick Rangers.

It's been clear since W&W came in that they are looking at making sure the players talent is matched by personality and temperament, doing due diligence on signings. Two in so far were already known to then as I'd Eustace, so not surprised that if they are looking at guys they havent previously worked with, that it may take a bit longer to satisfy themselves that the players are from the correct mould.

Would think we would perhaps look at getting a keeper on a loan deal given how much is already being spent on Bell's wages. Such a deal may happen later on in window once other teams squads for next season begin to settle. I reckon Warbuton would like to see Bell first hand before deciding if he wants to spend money on a new no 1.

Short corners can be brilliantly effective if there is any sort of planning gone in to it,for instance the Maloney one for Scotland which McCall orchestrated. The rolling it 5 feet to a team mate to create a better angle is fucking brutal

The thing that bothers me is that signing a "dead ball expert" isn't even necessary. ItI isn't that hard to train a player how to hit a decent corner. I'm not talking to a world class level, but to put in a decent ball into dangerous areas on a reasonably consistent basis. A player of decent technique, Law or Shiels for instance, with a few sessions on it a week, should be fully capable. So why hasn't it been addressed, when as has been said, it's been years since we had someone capable of it.

Henry was a similar player to big Marv, never top class, but brave and tough, willing to put his head where it hurts
