  1. Yes Muff has got a point but hey mate which dream managemaent/coaching team can we draft in,in our current circunstances? I'm sure you must agree walter/coisty/kenny are doing, have done,a great job and we're not sure right now if we're going to have them in place for next season?I think if we lose them as quick as next season we'll be lucky to have a replacement team that can emulate anywhere near what walter and co have done since his second tenure at the club.So all you anti walter lot should shut up.have a wee think about the bigger picture(at present)and get right behind him.Notice muff ignored all the ?????'s for a reply to his posts.Muff i'm sorry if i missed something but if start an arguement...you must have something to back it up with..to give it any cred at all...no?
  2. Totally agree.IMO we need to be using Murray Park to it's full potential to discover and nurture home grown talent.I mean since it's constuction who has come out of Murray Park through the ranks and made them self a house hold regular first team member, someone who then went on to play for scotland.Come on unless i,ve missed something who have we produced? It's time we started to do as above!Otherwise what a waste of money and there's plenty of local talent out there, why are we missing it at Ibrox. In the name of Rangers and Sir David Murrays sake. Let's get to it.
  3. Again no matter what anybody says another unconvincing display, could have easily gone the other way. I'm getting to the point where i don't quite know if i want to watch the games,so frustrating they have been to watch so far this season, especially against the teams they should'nt just be grinding results out of.I just hope Wattie can get his full squad back fit and ready so he can make the right managerial decisions we all know he can do to get back to consistent wiinning ways with maybe some real style throughout. What got to me was why boogie was left out.Ok he came home late but,he's an pro athlete I'm dreading January when he's away in Africa. Are the main men thinking more of how much cash they can earn in CL before the SPL?People will be asking? That's not the Gers way mind,we're in for all trophys!Looking forward to Tues.Way back to the top of the table where we belong!

  6. We all know the situation with boydy the boardroom best get it sorted cuz we dinnae need to lose him.If he starts putting playing fae another club fae more money afore playing fae the club he says he loves it will be a sad day. After all he's already one of the highest earners in scottish fitba is he not.Lets hope he disnae sell us doon the river?????????????????
  7. Well if having played for Scotlands most famous and successfull fitba team.. and it really meant something special THEY OUGHT TO BE FUCKIN COCK-A-HOOP ABOOT IT..NO MATTER WHAT THEY'RE DOIN THE NOO!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. Difficult one but as a player/manager and ambassador:JOHN GREIG :praise:
  9. no it's turned into the common sense thread. Lafferty is still very much unproven. Too many posters on here have double standards when it comes to the big man. Not really. He's only unproven because he was chucked out on the left for half the season, and because he was unlucky with injury. When he's been given the chance he's shown himself to be able to cause defences real problems, and a very composed finisher. All I'm saying is he's unproven and you seem to be agreeing so what's the problem? Because the comment that he's unproven always comes with the 'but Boyd isn't'. I just don't see the need to make one of our players look worse in order to make another look better. It happened with Cousin and Darcheville, and now it's happening with Lafferty. Some people (not necessarily you) seem almost scared that someone could take Boyd's place in the team. Aye and let's face it boys someday Boydy won't be around! No instinctive striker less goals less victories.I'm sure most of us would agree Boyds departure could be happening sooner or later.January?I hope not but if he does go that leaves us with Miller,Lafferty and Naismith. Will they be enough to get us the goals we need to retain the title?Praying Walter is given some funds in the next window.
  10. If we can just manage to keep our ball retention like we did for almost the last 15 mins of today's match from the start of the 90 mins to the final whistle i't will go a long way in us making it 2Iar and maybe getting us in last 16 of CL. Sometimes it pains me so much to watch" the long ball to the lonely striker tactic"fail time and time again. It just make's it so much easier for whoever we're playing like"oh it's rangers prepare for the long high balls head them clear to our midfield then attack, nae prob"it's just so predictable and frustrating to watch. That last match with killie being the worst example. Well done the make shift side done us proud today. samaras ur a ur a
  11. We showed some real character just when we really needed to. What were they saying about Kenny Miller. Cellick GIRFUY. Maybe not a vintage team playing a vintage performance. Got a very valuable 3 pts mind.Within a point of the tims now. What we don't need is any more daft results against teams in the lower 6 and against the top6 for that matter. Is there any news on Boydy?Did they take him off as a precaution?I hope so as certainly what with long term injuries,Edu and Broadfoot, and the other injured players and the suspensions as we know haven't helped as was showed with those 3 goaless draws. The quicker we have all our 1st team players back the better. Anyway time to celebrate another old firm victory. How many is it now all comps? Can anyone remind me plz?And heres to the next one.Buzzing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rangers Domestic League and Cup Champs 08/09.
  12. It's going to be a very long last 15 mins.We are playing so deep.I'm so nervous i can hardly wactch.I so hope we can hang in there. We really need the 3 pts not a draw. Cmmmooooooonnnnnnn tthhheeeeee ggeeeeeeeerrrrrrssssssss
  13. Spot on m8 that's the only way i can see us qualifying for the next phase. And we do have everychance with the right selection of 1st 11(not that walter has strenghth in depth in our squad, injured players etc)and that the players who are picked put their every heart and soul into the games and show them we are the champs of scotland because we go out for every game with nothing than other than the will to win.As fans we can't ask any more, especially in the most competitive club comp we're ever likely to play in.Or maybe over half of the sevilla 1st team go down with some nasty virus that put's them out of action for months and there's more chance of scotland winning the world cup in SA than that happening. Keep the faith. We're far from finished in this yet. The Gers the greatest team and fans in the world. It's our history.
  14. I thought we deserved a little more from this game than the scoreline suggests. First half we managed to contain a highly skillfull team that really work as a team, and what might have been had we put away the penalty, which was in no doubt a penalty. In the second half the difference was Sevilla what little chances they had they were clinical in finishing chances.Rangers had just as many decent chances but as we've seen so many times this season we're not turning our chances into goals. And back to the penalty Naismith was brought down when in a goalscoring situation so there's the question if a penalty had have been given surely the offender should have gone as well leaving them with ten men?Could well have been a total different story in the second half?Long way to go yet for the mighty Gers. Bring on the Hoops on Sunday and get back to winning ways.Bring it on.
  15. How the ref missed to see that one he had complete vision. Why are there inexperienced refs on duty in big games like this, there shouldn't be as he's clearly made a big mistake when naismith was brought down,he's no excuse on that one. Let's hope the gers get some compensation when we probably would have been 1 up now at half time. Robbed. Playing no too bad either .At least we're up for it.Same again second half.Need to make the very best of our set pieces as i see our goals coming from these. What do others think. Come on the Gers we can do it
  16. Great attitude to have before the first Champions League game at ibrox for just short of 2 years. The team will be buzzing when they come out the tunnel to hear you moaning about how much you don't want to be there. The team should be buzzing in every game..... thats the problem Best post i've read so far the night supercooper. No matter who we play against and in what league or cup our aim and attitude should be the same. Do or die 110% effort win lose or draw The fans would always know that with that kind of spirit the team would never have let them down. And would always follow with pride. May the legends of Rangers past be within the Rangers present the morrow night.
  17. Hi bluepeter gallas of you to reply and your welcome to me to the site.Just 1 question i have a warn then (0%) on my profile.I don't understand, can you help? What's your thoughts on our chances on tues against seville?Think Walter will go for his usual as long as we don't concede UCL tactics?I mean playing away against these classy continental sides i can understand the defensive tactics but at Ibrox?Surely even he knows at home is our best chances for wins. All the best.Andrew Watt Your warn level, everybody has that but can only see their own. It's when it gets above 0% you have to worry Not sure what to expect on Tuesday, experience would make me think we'll go defensive, with LM and possibly KT in defensive midfield. I'm not disillusioned with Walter's ability to spring a surprise though, and I'd like to see him attack Sevilla on Tuesday, having an attacking 4-5-1/4-3-3 would do me nicely. If we start with 2 defensive midfielders, it'll be a loooong night. What if any hope especially after our poor form of late can any of the loyal give on team selection and tactics to make us really believe we take 3 points from Seville the group favs for our group on tues or like me are most of us thinking Walter is going to play it safe give them the utmost respect as they deserve and with a wee bit of luck we maybe nick it.Does anyone see him straying from his usual tactics in matches of this magnitude?Well if he does play a more attacking style the boys are going to have to be at our very best especially in the final third.Praying Steve Davis is fit for this one as we all do and Kyle Lafferty we could sure do with having back, maybe he's the one to get us scoring goals again, freshen our attack up.I know one thing if we play like we did against Killie it will be over by half time. The worst performance i've seen this present team play, unless anyone can remember anything even worser.WATP.
