The Penalty Given Against Goldson
the brown brogue replied to RealWorldRich's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Looked like he was doing everything he could not to have to header the ball and face a repeat of his OG against Benfica. Was never in the right position to clear it even if the ball had continued on it's original trajectory. -
Has done well to battle back, unfortunately although it wasn't a career ending injury he suffered it certainly looks like a career limiting one. I'd expect him to be limited to appearances off the bench for the rest of the season and then moved on in the summer for someone more robust that can contribute fully.

Had a thankless task in the first half with the way the whole team played but particularly Silva, Lawrence and Wright, all three were hopeless. He's no world beater but he is what he is and won't be our starting number 9 next season, unless Clement has completely lost his mind. So just have to hope that he can be a nuisance to defenders and pick up a few important goals to help bring home the treble.

Hopefully a treble this season and he'll see that as the perfect send off and he'll be off to pastures new, followed by Goldson. Sick of the pair of them confusedly looking at each other with their arms in the air after yet another mistake.

Welcome to Rangers, Philippe Clement!

100%. Had enough of watching Goldsons laboured 'running' around the park, he's getting slower by the week. Baloguns recovery pace is his biggest asset and he's better in the air as well. -
Lawrence looks finished, the injury has ruined him. Lundstram hit more passes straight out of play than to a blue jersey today, he's all blood sweat and snotters and just gets passed around by any midfielder with a bit of intelligence. I wouldn't be offering him an extension, I'm sure there are better options out there.

We don't have a single player who genuinely thinks we can beat them. Yes we'll get sound bites from the "leadership" group but every single one of them has a crisis in confidence as soon as they make their first mistake. They have been embarrassing today and should be ashamed of that first half. This needs the biggest halftime turnaround I can remember for us to take anything from this game.
