  1. A call to all bears in the Wellington area. There will be a meeting to re-establish the club on 29 Jul 14 at 1930hrs in the Station Village, Old Hutt Road at Station Road, Please feel free to come along and join the club. Oso
  2. I have sent an e-mail out to all the 2011 members of the Wellington RSC as held by Jim. If you have received it, please reply and pass it on to any other bears you know in the Wellington area. I'll take you all from all over the Wellington if you are willing to travel to a central point.
  3. I'll see you at the game Dave.
  4. Hi fellow ex-pats and Kiwi bluenoses. I have been in contact with Jim Baxter of the Wellington RSC who has been unable to keep the club up as he would have liked due to his commitments with Lower Hutt Cty AFC. Jim is giving me the contact lists and I will be in contact with you all as soon as possible. I am hoping to organise a meeting to constitute the RSC properly. The intention is to give us somewhere to watch the games "as live" and when possible, live, on big screens. We have a couple of possible locations in Lower Hutt. If you know anybody who would like to join, point them in my direction and PM me in here. Oso.
  5. Screamer Smith. We all knew when she was staying in the Glasgow University Union Extension bedrooms at the weekend.
  6. Infarction - Blockage (Myocardial infarction aka heart attack) Infraction - Breaking the rules.
  7. The issue is simple. The Evening Times is plagiarising if it does not acknowledge the source, which it hasn't. I live in NZ and the papers here carry items from lots of other papers, lifted word for word. The difference is that at the bottom of the report, it states which newspaper it came from. They have acknowledged the source, thus keeping within the law. Not a difficult concept and I think the Evening Times, and every other UK Paper, should be brought to task every time they fail to acknowledge what is Rangers copyrighted work.
  8. Can you get one of them to contact me for membership please?
  9. Going to the football depends on what days the games are on. If they are Saturday games, not a problem.
  10. Could someone from Wellington RSC please send me a PM as I have been trying to make contact in order to join.
  11. The second tier in any league is always the hardest to win. The prize of the top tier is what drives every manager and board of directors in the second tier of football. This is why I say this will be our hardest challenge ever and is a first for our club. Every other team we are playing next year has been in the second tier and with the exception of Hearts due to their money worries, I can see every team being a difficult win unless our game is raised accordingly. I would love us to win the Ramsdens and I think this year, given that we will be playing the 2nd tier teams week in, week out, will raise our standard and make this achievable but by no means a dead cert. Every player needs to step up a gear from the first minute of the pre-season until the trophies are handed out. The League and Scottish Cups require us to pull out all the stops but given the current showing of the squad, the best I can see there is semi-finals. This truly disappoints but looking at the bigger picture, the big prize is the league, because being in the top division will open up old revenue streams that have dried up and we will have access to Europe again and I look forward to watching us at silly O'Clock in the morning NZ time.
  12. I don't often start topics but when I do it is for a reason. I would love Rangers to win everything that they enter but a quick reality check says that is not going to happen. That is the reality for all teams, most of the time, and we must accept that. There is but only one target for next season: Winning the championship outright to get promotion back to the top level. Everything above and beyond that is gravy. If given the choice of three cups or the league, the league wins out by a country mile. Son't turn this into a "Sack Ally" or "Sack the board" thread, there are enough of those already. The discussion is about targets and nothing else.
  13. I returned from the ANZAC day commemorations, when I heard the news of the passing of Sandy Jardine. My condolences to his family. I just don't know what to say.
  14. Remember, you can only be policed of you consent to being policed. You see a bear getting unwarranted grief from the Police, surround them. Remember that we outnumber them. Give them grief. Intimidate them. Make them know that we will not submit to their tactics. And if you are watching plod, you can GTF as I am not in your jurisdiction.
  15. And the point of the OP is? Nothing relevant.
  16. Job Done. Seven more to go for an unbeaten league season.
  17. Thank You Jules for making an ex-pat bear very happy. I missed the first half as I was at work so I missed all the goals.
  18. Mount Ruapehu, New Zealand- I was wearing it. Got a hello from another fan 2200m up the mountain.
  19. Other Songs- for any of the RC aligned teams, Twisted Sister "I am, I'm me" (It has the classic line, "Who are you to look down at what I believe".) Any time we win in the Black Strip AC/DC's "Back in Black", especially if Ian Black scores.
  20. For some reason all we are getting on the TV this weekend sports wise is the Wellington Rugby 7's. Shafted for getting the football. I just can't understand why not. Oh, I think it is being in NZ.
  21. Thank You D'art. I am glad I no longer have to pay a licence fee to that shower of shite.
  22. Thank You BNB for a well considered and written piece of work, albeit with the minor typo at the start . You have expressed what is truly wrong with Journalism and the footballing establishment in Scotland today, using that item the bheasts from the East and their supports are unfamiliar with, FACTS, not desires or beliefs, to make some very valid points. I am spreading the word here in NZ, pointing out to those who know me the perfidies, past and present, of the scum. Now we need people to keep the pressure up on authorities that are not controlled by the scum and have them tried for their financial irregularities. Note that I did not say punished, I said tried, but if they are found guilty, then I desire to see them punished to the fullest extent possible. We know they are guilty but it has to be proven in court first for there to be punishment, otherwise you get what happened to our great club, illegal punishment without proper trial.
