Didn't realize this thread had been moved to OT as it had been in the General Sports and Football forum for a long time. It is actually classified as a general sports thread. However, this thread is getting close to 1,000 replies. In a way, I notice that there are a few more posters who just posted in this thread as they do not normally go to the General Sports and Football forum which is another good thing.
If I recall from watching some games from the last Women's WC and watching some of this year's, the 2011 Women's World Cup is exciting and more successful than the last one. Very good matches, really.

I really like the USA team. That Rapinoe chick comes from the bench every time and every time she makes great impact. I wonder why she isnt in the starting 11. I enjoyed the way USA eliminated Brazil, that game proved to me that there is justice in football sometimes. Hope Solo is great, i wasnt even close to the thought i will see that better goalkeeper in the women football, and Alex Morgans goal against France was something special to see.
I also like Lotta Schelin from Sweden, her performance against Australia was brilliant

But as I've said above..why is this made into an issue of comparison..I (personally) am not comparing men to women..what I'm saying is - accept it for what it is..womens football. They love football...they are good at what they do - and have worked their whole life to get to where they are today. Try watching a few games and you may be surprised. Or not. lol

Come on the USA ladies team. Don't know why the guys on here are complaining, I have watched the Scotland mens team play and I think some of the ladies would beat them.
