  1. It would be special for the 5 or 10 minutes we kept it at 0-0 Nothing special about losing a match 5 or 6 nil
  2. I wouldn't be going to any CL games this season It has lost its appeal for me and that's simply because of our lack of ambition I don't want to watch the likes of Webster and Velicka get horsed 4 or 5 nil by teams we would've beaten 3 years ago
  3. Tonge isn't a wide player. He's a left footed central midfielder
  4. is that sarcasm ? No. Find protestant lads like you all over Ulster these days sadly. Ashamed of their heritage. Sad really. I'm not ashamed of my heritage, I just don't feel the need to pretend to be some massive loyalist when I am not one. I rarely ever attend Church, infact the only time I do is when there is a family wedding or christening etc.. I'm not "some massive loyalist" nor do i ever attend church. However, as an Ulsterman brought up protestant and as a Rangers fan, i feel there are certain things that should be accepted (even if not agreed with) without getting all mock offended by them and calling them bigoted Not all catholics support the IRA but you'd be hard pressed to find one who'd openly slag them off in a forum full of his own people (unless they've murdered one of their relatives, they do that from time to time...) Ulster prods seem to revel in slagging off their own these days though
  5. It's a bit like the old 'post colonial guilt' that the English are accused of The amount of protestants in Ulster these days who are ashamed of their heritage and who go out of their way to be offended by anything linked to loyalism/protestantism is an utter joke

  7. not even close to being an adequete replacement I'd rather have a defender who is available every week as opposed to one who misses games so he can open a shop in Algeria
  8. The fact that Barry Ferguson, Pedro Mendes, and Kevin Thomson have all left the club before Lee McCulloch is enough to make me fucking puke You can guarantee that he'll be the first of the out of contract players to be offered a new contract, probably a nice 3 year one to take him up to the age of 35
  9. Goncalves will sign as soon as Bougherra leaves
  10. Because no one would offer that for him, to get £2 million from a championship team is fantastic. Are you serious? So if Middlesbrough offered £2 million for Davis or Bougherra and it was our only offer, that would be a fantastic deal too?
  11. I'm pretty sure it was spurs that paid him a 1mill sign on fee. I could be wrong though Definately rumours at the time that Murray offered Hutton a £1 million sweetener to join Tottenham after he initially rejected the move
  12. 106 games in 3 and a half years and some people would have you believe he was never in the team
  13. Why Eagles? Why would he have bothered coming up if it was never going to happen?
  14. Wasn't Hutton given £1 million to join Tottenham?
  15. So if he sits out his deal we lose £2 Million and pay him 750 k in wages, its in our interests to pay him to go rather than let him leave for nothing next summer. If he wont sign a dealgive him a pay off to go...simples We have to pay him a sweetner to go as it's in his contract, which 99% of deals have if we rejected the offer from boro, he wanted to stay, would he have signed a new deal? we dont know really? thats bizarre, how would you know 99% of deals have that? Flecky, Like Boyd before him if he wanted to sign a new deal one would have been on the table. Do you really think Rangers and Bain hadnt approached his agent for a new deal? Do you really think Rangers and Bain werent given a figure at what he was looking for to sign a new deal? Do you really think we could match that deal? Like all players its about £££££'s loyalty towards ANY jersey is gone from 99% of players....including the ones who grew up supporting Rangers. Hutton was pushed out the door??? His agent had been whooring him round the EPL for a year! When Bain and co are given no encouragment that a player will sign an extension to their current deal then they should be pushed out the door, If it takes a sweetner to push them on their way then sadly that's life. Whats Bizzare about paying the bonus over the deal? If you were Bain and you signed a player on a £500K signing on fee...would you give him the 500k the day he signed or pay it up over his contract so that he wouldnt bugger off after 3 months with the 500k in his back pocket? If you played for a club and they were selling you for £9 Million would you not ask for a fee to go? I would and so would 99.9% of us. Was there really a deal on the table for Boyd? He has openly stated that he decided to leave Rangers in January. And considering Walter stated that no new contracts could be offered at this moment in time, i doubt Thomson needed such uncertainty at such an early stage of his career
  16. I hope Kevin fulfils his huge potential and establishes himself amongst the top 20 midfielders in England inside 2 or 3 years I bet big Lee is the happiest man at Murray Park today. Another season of never missing a match for Walter's lovechild
  17. Did i miss the part where Thomson put in a transfer request and demanded to leave?
  18. nonsense mate total nonsense no offense, but thats nonsense You expect us to break even every season when there's no automatic CL qualification anymore? Maybe with a squad of 15 teenagers who spend their whole careers at the club whilst we sign absolutely no new players in that 15 year era
  19. No thanks. Don't rate him whatsoever.
  20. Playing in Scotland we will always be in debt
  21. I feel very sorry for Thomson He wants to stay, he said at the end of last season that he wanted to sign a new contract, but he is being forced out to finance the signing of Eagles. And because the fans are desperate to see a new signing, many are now turning on Thomson
  22. What is the fitting like? Did you have to go a size over your usual? In my case i always wear an XL shirt (fat bastard) so would i be fine buying the new top in XL or would i be better off going XXL? Buying online so can't try the chap on
  23. Even though he played his entire career as a winger? We did him a favour by playing him on the right instead of the left as it meant there was no pressure on him to try and beat his marker using his non existent pace
  24. Any evidence or even rumour that Thomson demanded a bumper new contract that we couldn't afford? Tango man Bain, Tango man Johnstone, or Wiley old Watty can deny it all they like but this deal is going through because we need the money. FACT!
