I would suggest that when the manager of Rangers Football Club cites "the wind" to explain away yet another lacklustre performance against a part-time opponent then it is only fair that those who wish to condemn his lack of tactical awareness should feel justified in using the word 'clueless' to describe same.
Others may go further and describe him as 'an overpaid dud'.......though that's a tad unfair to those on the higher tax band.

Really? a lot of these teams have played better football than us.

As far as I am concerned he is clueless tactically and his team selections are baffling. If you set up a team system which encourages the opposition to attack at will even a team with plumbers,postmen etc will do that, if your tactics play into the hands of the opposition; the long ball to a lone striker, then our team will find it difficult. If a manager seems unable to motivate more than 2 players in his selection to compete for the ball being clueless is not the most important thing to be worried about.There is also the nagging feeling that he does not have the respect from his players.
We will win the league because of the extremely large,experienced, highly paid squad playing against part timers but our manager at times makes a really hard job of it considering the massive advantages he has.

TWB were you at the game today? I ask this because I travelled and paid good money both today and at Dunfries last week. I was also at Ibrox last Saturday and frankly my friend we are very very poor. I think if you got out your armchair and spend the amount of money I have over the last 8 days you might find yourself a little less tolerant.
In these last three games Rangers have been very poor - full stop. Ally really needs to kick on. ITs not just the team that needs to develop, it's the coaching staff and frankly it currently isn't happening and I really don't think it will happen.

okay lets assess him from scratch
took over a double winning SPL side and a Europa league last 16 team and arguably improved it in the summer transfer wise, got us put out of europe altogether by mediocre european sides with not one decent performance in either of the 4 games
started well in the SPL, a couple of dodgy results tempered by the fact that the tarriers looked like imploding before our eyes, but put out the league cup by falkirk in another embarrassing result for us
SPL push comes off the rails as he loses naismith and has nothing to cover it, he cannot organise the team to cope with the loss and we drop 9 points minimum in a month including a disaster at st mirren park
dundee united comfortably beat us at ibrox in the scottish cup pre admin, one of the worst displays of his career so far
admin kicks in, mccoist earns deserved applause for reducing his wages along with the team
summer and ally loses a massive chunk of his top team squad, once the licence is granted he is given a massive wage budget and arguably signs a lot of dross in a panic move, we dont win an away game in the 3rd division for 2 months, coupled with a defeat in the ramsdens cup at home to QOTS
things look up as we tear motherwell a new one at ibrox, the stars of the show undoubtedly the young guys like aird, mckay etc
next round we capitulate against ICT at Ibrox, however the league is cantering along thanks to beating teams at ibrox comfortably
performances dont get better as the season goes on, infact they get worse, excuses like no pre season and the league being practically won are trotted out to excuse lackluster performances at home and away, Dundee United pump us in the scottish cup as our second highest wage bill in scotland is blown right out the water
Rangers limp towards the title as their obvious advantage financially shows itself, however terrible performances both home and away temper the title winning feeling
Summer and mccoist lines up numerous signings for the end of the transfer embargo, starts the new season with some decent looking performances under the 4-2-3-1 system and a couple of new guys, forfar away in the league cup is another embarrassing mark on ally's management record
1st September comes, ally can play all his new signings and a lot of the young guys are silently moved out of the first team in favour of the journeymen who are out of position, performance levels start to drop but the wins still come
forfar away and the same mistakes are seen again, we hold on for a 1-0 win
now i know i could spin it out, its a kind of summary of the prevailing points in his rangers management career

what circumstances, he spent a fortune to win a part time league, we had numerous international players being played off the park by brickies and posties
ive said this before, had ally not had the playing career he did, we'd have been outside the doors of ibrox last season demanding he is punted
and im sorry but playing careers means fuck all when it comes to management, look at the likes of roy keane

See if he wasn't such a bad manager, didn't have such a terrible record in the cups, didn't keep repeating the same mistakes and wasn't serving up the most unexciting, turgid and boring brand of football I've ever seen at a club with unparalleled resources in a part time league, then he wouldn't get criticised so much.
People care about Rangers, spend their hard earned money on Rangers and dedicate various aspects of their life to Rangers. If they are served up shite continuously why shouldn't they criticise?

If you pay your money and follow the team then you are 100% correct to have your say on the manager. Ally at times has been made to look clueless and out of his depth many times since he took over, with a huge advantage over everyone else he faces he makes it look hard.
That is basically what people on here have been saying. Nothing wrong with it in the slightest.
If it offends you then maybe a pair of earplugs or cutting your Internet connection may be best.
