Who was the Celtic FC apologist...
macranger replied to A Horse With No Name's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Riot Police etc etc - more arrests than there have EVER been involving a Scottish Club in England. You wouldn't have seen it in the Scottish Phapers though... I've even heard from a Septic fan that it was Graeme Souness' fault!!!!! Ask any Newcastle fan what they thought of the Celtic fans who visited their city for a friendly in 2007. Not exactly glowing stuff, but like you say never reported in the Scottish mhedia. It's like Orwells 1984 - it never happened and let's move on and talk about XXXX.... Just like last week at Falkirk. A wee bit in the papers about the idiots outside singing during the minutes silence, then swept under the carpet, & the usual silence from the board. Not a single word from the tims board condeming it. If that had been us, it would have been front page headlines & we would have been condemned for doing it. But what else do we expect nowadays. WATP -
The thing I hate the most is that you seem to be able to pick up a tims shirt anywhere. I was in Dallas a few weeks back visiting relatives, & saw a tims shirt for sale in a shopping mall. I searched & couldn't find a Rangers top anywhere & this in a state that has a baseball team of their own called the Texas Rangers. Ever since JJB took over you can't seem to get a shirt anywhere else apart from there. Even in spain now they aren't even as readily available. That used to be a favourite place to pick up strips before they were even out here. WATP

Did he not slag Rangers to bits after he left?

Anyone annoyed by the loyalty of some fans
macranger replied to davidrennie75's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Being honest, this has happened for years. I remember going to games years ago with about 20 on our bus. But as soon as the cup final came, we had a double decker full of guys who never went to the games. I remember a load of us young guys (at the time) having a ticket & getting "paired up" with guys who were never there, going up to the turnstyle at Hampden & them lifting us over, then handing over MY ticket for him to get in. Then they gave us a couple of quid for doing it. It'll never change. WATP -
'Has Reid began the break up of the term Old Firm ?'
macranger replied to BLUEDIGNITY's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
I thought you might want to see this as I stumbled across it ! Wikkipedia - if you don't believe this ! According to George Galloway, Reid is an accomplished singer and guitar player and "taught a whole generation of Labour activists, including yours truly, the entire IRA songbook". The claim about his musicianship is supported by the fact that, in January 2001, he was named an honorary member of the Scottish group "The Big Elastic Band" and promised to play guitar on their next album[8]. He was an early member of Labour Friends of Israel.[9] As much as I think galloway is just as big a tosser, I did hear him on talksport saying this about reid, though this is from a man who along with jim sillars, went on a "troops out of ireland" march in glasgow years ago. So they are as bad as each other. WATP -
Just got in & heard about this.Any info on the new guy? Can't be bothered reading through umpteen pages of "he's shite"or "he's great"

Aye, thats what you say, probably came out of your own private collection, or you took a photo of the poster of him on your ceiling.

Confused at this post, what do you mean by "ALWAYS support your country" as a football team do you mean? rugby? any other sport? anyone that is Scottish? Personally i do support Scotland, however i have no problems with anyone that doesn't, don't think it should be stamped in stone, that if you're from Scotland you have to support all things Scottish Yip, exactly. Eat haggis, wear a kilt, drink whisky, etc. If we don't support our own people, who will. I'm not confused at this post. I just can't believe some of the things that pass as a ligit topic on here. As it's been said in a previous post, we hate the tims for supporting Ireland but it's ok for us not to support our national team. Get real. WATP Yeah you're right, support all things Scottish I'm actually a bit worried that you had that picture so readily available to post on here. WATP

I can't even believe this question is being asked. And some people wonder why people hate us. You ALWAYS support your own country. I'm just back on here after a while & can't believe the sites been taken over by a bunch of numpties. (for want of a better word) When it comes down to it, Rangers are my team, whether they are playing brilliant or absolute crap. But I'll always support Scotland. WATP

Nike bought out Umbro, so if anyone is making it, it's either Umbro or Nike. The Adidas ones, smart as they are, are fakes. WATP -
You should send that to "That's Life" (For anyone under the age of 40, that was a consumer programme from the 70's/80's)

Just wondered, seeing as we can't sing the famine song (still waiting on the outcome from the court case) Do you think we would get away with singing the music man bit at the end of this song, the " P & P & P & O, P & O, P& O." We should sing it at Ibrox & see if they manage to ban that as well. WATP

What Goal Tune should we have next season?
macranger replied to johnboy1873's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
Must admit I like the offspring, but that song sounds like one of my wee boys favourite cartoons, Shaggy & Scooby Doo Get A Clue. If some people don't like the idea of using a song that another team use (like one step beyond) then what about the chorus of Take back the city,by snow patrol, the " I love this city...... " part. Like it says on a sig on here (sorry can't remember who's) this is OUR city. I know snow patrol are from ulster, just not sure about which side though, but who cares. It's a good wee tune & if they're tims, well they'll hate us for it. WATP -

If we're gonna have the Banana Splits, it's got to be this version. Didn't read all the posts, so if someones already mentioned this, sorry. Don't think this worked, so here's the link But I must admit, I think Madness, One Step Beyond, would be brilliant. No words to remember just na na naaaa, na na na na naaaa. Go for it, it's got to be Madness, get the petition going to Ibrox right now for the start of the new season. (Though I must admit to a wee soft spot for The Ramones.) -

A wee bit off subject here but, your right with the japanese players bit, we should have jumped at it as well, but we don't want to look like we're copying THEM. But we really SHOULD be pushing the American market. We've got 2 of their best players (at the moment) & we should be over there touring & pushing our name at every opportunity, and there are plenty of RSC over there to keep them interested & to watch the games together. And of course, we have the right colours as well. WATP -

But how many companies would be interested in making the Rangers strip, knowing that it's only going on sale in one chain of stores. As far as I remember, I'm sure Umbro only made the strips on behalf of Rangers & didn't make anything per top sold, as I'm sure this is how other manufacturers make their money. I do like the fake adidas tops. At least the Carling logo blends in with the colour of each top & not a big black banner, but not sure carling would want this, as is it not still branded as carling black label? WATP -

Was there not something a while back saying that Nike had bought over Umbro. It may not have been Nike, but I'm sure it was a big name company, just not sure who. BTW the JJB contract has still got years to run. I'm sure i was for 10 years at the start. WATP -
