I dont think it matters. There are 12 European spots, 4 for the 4 year CL winners and 8 for the highest ranked teams in UEFA rankings, excluding CL winners, but only 1 from a single country. So a country can only have more than 1 participant if they have a CL winner. England will have minimum of 3 as they already have 2 CL winners, plus they will get 1 of the other 8 positions. Who wins next season's CL does not effect the rules regarding the other 8. It is effectively 2 separate selection processes unless the same team wins the CL twice in the 4 year cycle. There are then 9 spaces for non CL winners but the extra slot goes to the country of the double CL winner. For examlle if Man C win CL next season England will get 2 from the other 9 slots instead of 1 from 8. The other 7 selections are not effected. Our biggest threat is Brugge as they are only 3 coefficient points behind us and are already in pot 1 of the Europa Conference Group stage. Would expect them to pick up a few wins in that and get to the knockout stages. Dedpite the fact we could be in CL they could well pick up at least 3 more points than us in the coming season. We need to get through a couple of EL knockout rounds, either by being 3rd in CL group or being in EL group.

A poor attrmpt at humours of course it could havr been he didn't play 90 mins each game. I had considered that however is that meant to make me feel better. His average is less than 58 minutes per game so he often started games on the bench or when he started got subbed. I obviously hope he does well but not the goal threat we need. We need a 20 to 25 goals a season striker. Hopefully he is still to be signed.

He played 34 games last season across 2 loan periods and scored only 2 goals. 34 games is way over 2000 minutes. I hope Beale knows what he is doing. I have liked his previous signings but have to admit this one worries me.

Tgey have staged payements for their past signings of £38m yo make over the next few seasons, the highest it has ever been. They have not sold anyone for big money for almost 2 years. We have staged receipts to come in for Patterson, Aribo and Bassey.

We are currently 27th in the rankings but as only 1 team per country qualifies, except CL winners it moves us up to 7th. For example Man C, Liverpool. Chelsea, Man U and West Ham are all above us but Chelsea and possibly Man C could get in as CL winners but then only 1 of Liv, Man U and WH can get in. If Man C lose tomorrow it will be them as the highest ranked English side at thr expense of the other 3.

That is the position for the last 5 years. Only tge last 3 years of this period counts along with this season. Doesn't change it much but moves us up to 27th and gives us a 2 pint cushion over Brugges.

My take on these 5 games is that the first one he blew it by going defensive with 20 to go when game was there for the taking, LC final, he gave them far too much respect with his starting lineup and by the time he addressed it the gane was lost. The next 2 I honestly think could have gone either way with very fine margins. On both days they went their way, on other days we could have won them. Morelos' goal stands we probably get draw at worst at their place and Sakala scores the sitter the SC game could have turned in our favour. I appreciate we lost them both buy very fine margins for me. Yes the last game was a dead rubber, but they didn't expect to take a beating like they did even with 4 players out. Too much was made of that as we have had 4 or 5 players missing all season. I believe that mauling made Ange realise he had no strength in depth in his squad and could well be a factor on him moving on. They dropped 8 points out of 9 as soon as they didnt have their best 11 available.

Will also be in pot 3 this year so in theory a fighting chance of Europa League or better after the 6 group matches.

Were you excited or underwhelmed when Cantwell signed. A geuine question as I knew nothing of Cantwell when he signed and therefore couldnt get excited. Likewise I know nothing of this guy so will need to just wait and see what develops.

I really hope Souness realises what swimming the channel actually means. My 30 year old daughter is doing it in August this year to raise money for the Brain Tumour Charity as my wife, her mother, had a brain tumour last year. Thankfully sucessfully operated on and my wife is on the mend. The point is my daughter swam competitively to a reasonably high level from the age of 8 through to end of university. Even so she has been going through a rigourous training regime for the last 8 months in preparation for her swim. She has just completed a 6 hour open water swim to gain a certificate that is required before you are allowed to attempt a channel swim. This is not like running a marathon, less than 2000 people have ever done it. I wish Graeme all the best in this venture but as a 70 year old, with previous health issues and I guess limited swimming experience he may find he is not allowed to do this.

Current results are worse case scenario. Tarriers win league and we miss out on CL as top 2 qualify. Ironically if we cant score we woukd be better if Glasgow City did. Still end up 3rd but at least GC win league.

He actually tried to prosecute those who screwed us, not us. My biggest regret was that they couldn't prove any links between Whyte and Green prior to Whyte buying us, and any criminality as a result.

In my opinion Lawrence is good enough to start for us if he gets back to pre injury performance levels.
