Don’t understand the last couple of posts on other thread. UEFA criteria says UEFA rankings and not CL points only. The point is FIFA don’t want multiple clubs from a few countries but want it spread across many countries. Same way as WC is not the best 32 nations that are there. they are therefore restricting the number of teams from any country to CL winners plus 1. So as it stands England have 3, Spain 2 and then the remaining 7 being the next best 7 ranked teams who have not had someone from their country already selected. We are currently lying 12th on that basis., Brugge and Salzburg are pushing us. if the winner of this years CL is not from a country that has already got a participant then this would also knock us out. This would mean a team outside the top 8 or 9 ranked leagues so highly unlikely. it is based on last 3 years coefficient plus this coming season. We are currently on a minimum of 41, with Brugge and Salzburg on 37. I do agree the UEFA have said the current basis is not locked in but unless FIFA change their current desire then UEFA would find it difficult to change.

It is not the seating area that is the issue, it is in the concourse behind the seating area where there is no barrier between the fans. I am pretty sure this was the Police's position on this but I appear to be in a minority of 1 on here, so perhaps I am mistaken.

Why do you say that. They believe there could be trouble in a mixed stand at a Euro game but believe there would be trouble at an OF game.

I am sure this was stated by the Police when Rangers first raised the issue of reducing ticket numbers. They can police the seating area but cannot segregate the concourse as they would need too many men. They also will not allow one set of fans to have the rear and the other the front due to missiles and spitting from top tier.

The Police do not see it that way. They see an OF game as higher risk than a Euro game.

Police won't allow Broomloan to be mixed when they visit. It is either the corner or the whole stand.

I see we have got Declan Rice on loan from Arsenal, but can only make our bench.

My recollection is that the singing section, the "choir" as we referred to it back in the late 60's early 70's used to be opposite the main stand, ie now SJ stand. It moved to the covered section at the Copland road end after that area was turned into the centenary stand. They used to also go there for games against "them" as they had part of that section.

That for me. Let him get an ovation when he comes on and again at the end but give Butland the biggest part of the game.

I think the first half of your statement is true but not sure how you can reach the conclusion about them.
