He isn't a proven goalscorer against the old firm by scoring the odd goal. Is Edu a proven goalscorer in Old Firm games? I think not. I checked out his career stats and every cup goal he has scored has been against 1st div teams, a few against SPL relegation battling teams and 1 against us iirc. The majority of his league goals have been against bottom 6 teams. To spend £2M on him when Lafferty can do the same job, if not better, is ridiculous. If we buy him and he gets a sentence for rape it will be a complete disaster for the club. If he doesnt get the jail for that it wont be long till he gets into bother up the town.
