  1. They also stated that CW is an irrelevance but now we have a bidder saying he still holds the power of veto. SDM also told us it was not a problem and that he would only sell to a person that would be in clubs bests interests and could move us forward. The only person I will believe in the matter is the judge when he delivers the verdict.
  2. The thing about the OP it does not even mention the big tax case, the potential 49mill on top of HMRC's 9-15million vat + PAYE is the real killer and will dwarf any other creditor if awarded in their favour. They have a major say in all this which seems to have been forgotten. It would be nice to hear Paul Murray's views on this as well.
  3. In principle yes but could be contractural issues with the main shirt sponsor that would need to be sorted out if they have an exclusivity clause. One answer would be for them to provide more funds for a red Tennant's lager T to be added.
  4. I don't watch a lot of television but of all the news programmes C4 news is in my opinion by far the besr, Newsnight (full UK version) also can be interesting and gets pass marks.
  5. It has been said that he blocks people's twitters accounts, that could be looked at as the equivalent of walkIng away.
  6. If the report in the Telegraph is to believed it does appear that they may have been ill advised with some of their alleged comments, don't think they will be asked back any time soon.
  7. Extract from the Telegraph on the meeting: Meanwhile, it emerged that a meeting between the Rangers Fans Working Group and the SFA chief executive, Stewart Regan, ended in disarray at Hampden Park late on Thursday afternoon when he walked out, having stated that he “was not prepared to tolerate accusations of bias”. The meeting, which was requested by the FWG, began civilly enough, with the supporters’ group asking to discuss implementation of standards of good behaviour throughout the game in Scotland. There followed a discussion about whether the SFA should pursue charges against Rangers when the club was effectively without leadership and there were questions about how the governing body of Scottish football might assist the club. However, the meeting moved into more turbulent waters when it was suggested by the fans’ representatives that the SFA were not regarded by the Rangers support as impartial. When Regan stood up to leave, one of the six FWG representatives said: “Is that you off to report to Peter Lawwell [the Celtic chief executive]?” Regan replied: “Quelle surprise.” He made to shake hands with another representative, who refused, saying: “On your bike.” http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/rangers/9176695/Rangers-in-administration-bidders-set-to-learn-fate-next-week-as-administrators-narrow-down-field-to-three.html
  8. I can understand their frustrations, I think we all can but D&F have been involved in two court cases on Rangers behalf and been running the rule over all the bids, this on top of handling the day to day running of the club. This takes time when you consider SDM and CW took months to conclude a deal with only two parties involved the RST may have to adjust their expectations on timescales accordingly. D&F are answerable to the court that appointed them so I don't think they will be fannying about for the hell of it, we will have lost our European license by tonight but that is a small price to pay to get this right.
  9. If that was the outburst you can hardly blame the man
  10. What was the "embarrassing outburst" about and how was it worded?
  11. In principle there is nothing to stop Rangers resigning from both the SPL and SFA, however, it would leave us with no league and no opponents to play against. So unless the future business model consists of nothing but games involving Rangers vs Rangers reserves it would not make any sense to do so.
  12. Listening on Radio anybody give an update. Penny Arcade on
  13. Staying in and the radio for me, feeling nervous but then again felt that last season as well and was happy to be proved wrong. Hoping for a win but realistically thinking about a draw. Damn time is dragging.
  14. This is the same Duff and Phelps who's David Grier help Craig White during his takeover of Rangers and who are now acting as administrators of the club? If it was different members of staff involved with each of the parties cases (SFA / Them / Dundee Utd) they could argue that it is impartial, however, if the individuals concerned had previous dealings with one of the parties concerned the RST may have a point.
  15. He is a piss take, some of it is quite amusing but a piss take all the same @CeIticTaxcase: Are Rangers the first club in the UK to pay a player to keep their image rights? #daviedodds #celtictaxcase
  16. Civil war is threatening to break out in the Scottish Premier League, with Celtic at odds with their rivals over organisational reform. The 10 clubs outside the Old Firm are to propose an alteration to the league's voting system at a special general meeting on 12 April. They want a 9-3 decision to push through major change in Scotland's top flight rather than the current 11-1. The 10 will also seek a more even distribution of revenue. However, just how they intend to push through these proposals is unclear. And Celtic are deeply unhappy with the suggested changes. Sources close to the Parkhead club argue that the Old Firm contribute around 85% of the SPL's revenue, while they are disappointed by the other clubs getting together without consulting them. Celtic fear that changes to the status quo could jeopardise future sponsorship deals It has also been suggested that changes to the voting structure or distribution of income could threaten any takeover of Rangers, who are currently in the hands of administrators. It is understood that potential buyers of the Ibrox club may be put off by any uncertainty over future revenue. Asked whether the situation threatened potential civil war between the 10 and the Old Firm, one chairman told BBC Scotland: "It's not potential civil war. It's on." Another chairman added: "I hope it doesn't end up in civil war. You have to ask why Celtic are so upset at changing to a 75% rule that would exist in many other businesses. "Why are they scared of change and a 75% majority running the league. They will do all in their powers to control Scottish football. They have no concern for Scottish football, only themselves." He added: "No clubs are of a mind to change the distribution of money that radically changes the situation to the disadvantage of Celtic and Rangers. "But you have to ask them why do you really need this power? "We must drive through change in the next 18 months or we will go backwards. What the ten must focus on is to shape the game going forward, to bring the change we know the game badly needs." A third chairman told BBC Scotland: "The rest of us are fed up of the Old Firm. Forget Rangers for the moment since they are in administration, what we have here is one club dictating to the top end of Scottish football. "They are not going anywhere, English football doesn't want them and they have done their damnedest to get out of Scotland for the last 10 years. Do they want to play in a league of two? "We want to change the voting rights to be able to change the game for the better. "We need to have a stronger championship or SPL2 in place. Relegation can cost clubs £1.5m and we need to provide a softer landing place. We want change for the good of all of Scottish football. This is about democratic change."
  17. If we look at the voting system with 11 of the 12 current members in agreement to pass the vote, if the worst case scenario happened and Rangers were liquidated (and therefore the SPL would only have 11 members) does this automatically change the voting structure? It could still mean they need the 11 votes to pass the proposal even if there was a reduction in overall numbers dependant on how it was written. However, if the required votes to pass a vote is reduced by the reduction in member clubs they could railroad it through. Alternatively if the SPL executive committee vote for NewCo Rangers not to be admitted to the SPL. Falkirk would take up the 12th place and give them the 11 votes required to pass the changes (assuming they all decided to vote as a block). Either way if we are not liquidated it is status quo.
  18. I don't know about Glasgow Sharks, but there have been plenty of loan sharks around the place of late.
  19. May I be first to dedicate this to Eddie Morrison, Killie legend, manager and hero. This Bear will be lookIng on with a smile. The Argyll misses you big Man, Respect.
  20. I can see myself having to take a wee walk to the pub if this continues I thought we may have had a chance to regroup at half time.
