no, you started it by saying they clubs beat us to any player/manager we go in for, name examples then? I simply stated that IMO we are a bigger proposition than Leeds and Villareal for a manager, and pretty close with Marseille (who by the way appointed Gattuso, who would've likely came here in a heartbeat but we werent even in for)

what players or managers have we been after that have gone to them though? its just speculation.

Miles ahead of Leeds. They are in the championship ffs. and even whilst in the top flight, they were never competing for silverware. Villareal - absolutely shite. Marseille - think we just edge them tbh Ajax - bigger than us despite being awful this season

Villareal are dross, Ajax while a huge club are in turmoil, so not outwith the realms of possibility I guess both not exactly huge options either, out of the 4 I'd say we are bigger than 3 of them.

TBF the bigger move from Leeds comment was just on hearsay so I'll give you that, few of my family & friends support Leeds and that was their consensus.

Still missed 29 games before we signed him through injury - in the 2 years prior to us signing him he was out for almost a full year

hardly mismanaged, he was a known injury prone player when we signed him, when he was leaving leeds that was the only reason he didn't make it to a bigger club, when he's fit he's an EPL level player, he's just never fit long enough to play consistently at the elite level.
